Anybody been watching the TSSAA games?

Alcoa having to fight Pearl Cohn and the refs. The white hat has been way one sided. As they ran off the field for half celebrating he got in their face with an attitude. A couple of unsportsmanlike calls that were crap earlier.

Follow-up….. still at it in the second half a couple more crazy calls. Does not like Alcoa and it shows. Not only what he calls, but how he calls them.

Watching along with NCAA games. Both Alcoa & Pearl-Cohn playing hard with excellent tackling, BUT...Alcoa with over 150 yards in penalties! Coach must be apoplectic. Despite that, looking like Tornadoes get Championship #24 Alcoa leads 47-21 with 5 minutes remaining.

Watching along with NCAA games. Both Alcoa & Pearl-Cohn playing hard with excellent tackling, BUT...Alcoa with over 150 yards in penalties! Coach must be apoplectic. Despite that, looking like Tornadoes get Championship #24 Alcoa leads 47-21 with 5 minutes remaining.

Ck how many yards for unsportsmanlike for nothing. No taunting, twice for simply celebrating with no defender in sight, once for asst coach complaining on the sideline, once for comments between two Alcoa players the white hat was close enough to hear.

That ref needs disciplining. The other team got 3 delays on the kickoffs, at least 6 false starts, none of which were viewable on TV live or replay, so who knows. Well in excess of 30 penalties.

2 holding calls on sweeps with drive blocking…

Most disruptive called game maybe ever in TN championship game history.

Alcoa still won by 20. Heck they scored 21 points with1 offensive play. A 1 play drive, a scoop and score and a kickoff return. Probably had 150 yards called back by penalty. Tough watch.

Alcoa is closest school to my house, though zoned to Heritage. Watched several big games there, but they crushed so many teams by half I would not spend money routinely.

Happy that Alcoa won. That said, I thought the officiating was okay. Celebrate!
