Yeah. They were ok. What you fail to mention is that in 2023 there was no "Hyper offense" and they were #22 in the country with UGA still at #5. In 2022 they were #36 in the country with UGA still in the top 5. So yes. They were ok.

To add to this, everyone is clinging to 2024’s defense, but was it really THAT impressive? Heres the #’s:

Team/national ranking ppg/ points we allowed
Osu- 14th ppg- 42 points given up

Bama-22nd -24 given up

Uga- 36th -31 given up

Arky- 42nd- 19 given up

Flordia-63rd - 17 points given up

Vandy- 71st - 23 points

Msu-84th - 14 points

Ou-95th - 15 points

UK-121st - 18 points

We gave up an avg of 29 ppg vs top 50 offenses

To me in today's CFB your defense just has to be competitive. The ppg and 43 td's given up were the big numbers. Also, how slow the defense was and how poorly coached. It really has been a dook show, save 2024 when we had stud Dline. Dont think we appreciate how good they were, and Mccoy/Gibson.

If you look at the averages of the top offenses we played since 2023. We nearly give up their exact PPG scored.

In 2024, UGA scored 31points per game… 31 given up. Ohio State scored 42 points a game…. They scored 41. When it comes to good offenses. Josh Heupel teams have always been just “average” on Defense.

It may be a signal that the Tide is turning. I know we’re in the Era of big money and freedom for the players, and I hate pulling for Georgia in anything, but All the SEC schools have a lot to Gain if they win this one. Personally, I’ll throw up a Cheer if they do.

Bo Jackson's legs were freakish. Some people are genetically freakish. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferigno. Were all muscular to begin with.

Bo Jackson was an olympic athlete who played football and baseball. Had he used steroids he'd have looked like Arnold, or Lou.
To see a guy that damn strong do what he did, it doesnt surprise me. I'm sure physics didnt hurt.

Ive worked out my entire life, studied it. Sometimes, a lot of timed regular folks just cant do what others can. Id have folded like a cheap tent trying to break that bat.

Alabama only scored 17 against us. We won 24-17. Our offense only averaged 15.5 ppg. The offense was at a bigger fault against those four teams.
