Legend Bey

You know I love me some Legend Bey.

10.3speed in 100M makes him likely the fastest player on the team day 1...and hes not a "track guy trying to play football" or skinny as a rail. He plays QB in HS and has the ball in his hands on every snap. It may take him some time to polish his route running and skillset as a WR...but he likely returns punts and kicks from Day1 and this staff will be looking for ways to get him touches. Amazing athlete. Period.
But he doesn't want to BE here. The Vols have had enough of teenagers sulking on the bench.

Meddlesome doesn’t mean they aren’t good parents. Making life altering decisions w a 17 yo mind is typically not a good decision

I was 17 once , and if I had listened to my parents more

I had friends w w “ cool “ non meddlesome parents , 2 of them were dead by 30
We are defining "meddlesome" differently. No worries.

Everyone wants to rush to judgement on this situation. I would assume that there are discussions with lawyers happening if money was promised or spent. Rushing this could cause UT to be in a situation where the kid goes elsewhere and we still owe money to various parties or we could be trying to recoup money spent. This is also making an assumption that he doesn't want to be here. We don't even know that part to be true.

"Unfortunately it's true, But I would like for everyone to give my mom the upmost respect. I turn 18 in 20 days so it most likely will be Go Bucks," said the talented prospect in a TikTok comment.

I'm not bashing anyone. I said Heupel has to own this. He's the head coach. He's the end all be all of this program. When this kid ends up in Columbus, Heupel needs to answer to why he even entertained letting him sign. A lot of you on here get your feelings hurt so easily when anybody dare question or be critical of anything concerning this program. This will be yet another of a long line of CJH's bad decisions both on and off the field. And no, I don't really care what you think about it so do yourself a favor and hit that ignore button, you'll feel better.
Own what ?? U are delusional if you think anyone knows what a 17 year old is thinking 24/7 , they change their mind like breathing.

He is assuming that he can get out of something that his Mom had the power to do before he turned 18.

I'm sure Tennessee due to the way it looks will let it go, but someone did sign a binding agreement on his behalf. I entered college when I was 17 and yes, my Dad had to sign certain papers because I couldn't.

What a mess!

why would we accept his letter of intent if he doesn't want to be here? did any of the coaches talk to him before he sent in his paperwork?

No one wants Heupel to work out more than I do, but the constant drama and apparent personnel mismanagement is getting tiresome. If he was being coerced by a parent to sign with Tennessee, he should not have been accepted as part of the class by our coaches.

So strange. I guess I get the kid wanting to make mom happy and signing. But, he could’ve just waited three weeks and signed with osu. So much shadiness. My cynical side says we came in with a late offer that he liked, flipped back without telling osu, and they said, “well, we could’ve done more” and now he wants that instead.

Tennessee has the Bird in Hand sorta speak. All wanting the coaches to clear this up are wanting it done for their satisfaction. Sit back and wait. It will come to fruition in time. No need to try to estimate or deal with it at the moment.

The portal is opening up for business soon enough. This could be a ploy by OSU fans, Tennessee haters or even TX. Using social media to put this out is a kid's play, fan play or another organization that wants Bey. Not many wanted if anybody wanted TN (besides fans) to recruit at this level 2-5. Sports writers are going to jump on this as well for clicks.

Tampering is wide spread, lesson will be learned from this no matter which way the chips fall.

There is no way that Tennessee staff will comment on this until the decision has been made. No news is good news at this point. We have heard--hacked account, mom, son and brother in dispute, tOSU fans throwing crap against the wall to see what sticks and yet all the persons involved remain silent.

Take into consideration you are dealing with kids and $$$$$. That is all there is to it. Not Heupel's fault.

OSU, oooooops, nope, UT, wait, maybe, perhaps not - but still possibly, Momma's making the decision for non Legend or, is she??

Haven't seen this much drama since Luke and Laura's wedding. Wake us all when it is over, please.

Wonder how many people here know who you're talking about.
