That must be the case, I watched the first episode of The Chair Company and found nothing entertaining about it.

I compare Tim Robinson kind of like the character of Dwight on The Office; I enjoy TR and love the character of Dwight, but if I knew someone like them in real life I'd probably think they were some of the weirdest people ever.

Case in point, when I first watched ITYSL, I remembered TR as "the weird guy that was on SNL for like 5 minutes". I remembered that I always thought he was really really weird in his sketches. I didn't think they were bad but just like "wow I don't get this guy's humor".

Now I go back and watch them and I think they are hilarious, and it makes total sense that some of the basis of his skits started as ideas for SNL bits. Lorne Michaels told TR that his stuff was good but just not right for SNL, and I'm glad he stuck with backing TR.

Nicely put. He is a comedic genius that not everybody gets because it is the opposite of broad humor. There are so many little thing in The Chair Company for instance that I laugh out loud, just quick one liners from random people that I find so amazing.
