'27 TN RB David Georges

28-24 Baylor

1:09 to go

4th and 20 for Brentwood Academy. From their 20.
BA- incomplete pass

Baylor takes over. 1:05 to go.

That'll do it.

It was a pretty good game for the conditions they played in.

DGG looks like the real deal and Larry Sanders was very impressive too.

The state of TN has some serious talent

I ve asked around……small schools (FCS) have looked, but nothing yet.
I saw him a couple weeks ago and he was the best player on the field. Period.

5’8”?????
Emmitt Smith was 5’9”, and it didn’t seem to hold him back too much. Being short can actually help a running back. Short RB’s can be harder to spot behind the blockers.

Barry Sanders was 5’8”, and I guess he was okay too. Jahmyr Gibbs is 5’9”, and he’s the current NFL wrecking crew. 110 total yards and 3 TD’s tonight.

I’m not knocking it….just standing by him, not sure he’s 5’8”……
I’m shocked he doesn’t have numerous FCS offers.

I’ll take him in Clarksville in’27

Players like Pavia as well. It can be an asset

My thoughts after returning home from the game:

1. Congrats to Baylor on the win. They are a fantastic football team.
2. I’ve seen DGG twice in person and he is clearly the best HS running back I’ve ever seen in person. (Watching since the late 80’s) It felt like we kept him bottled up most of the night and he still had over 150 yards rushing. Absolute stud, we need him on the hill!
3. Do better TSSAA. What a dump of a facility and location for a state championship event. All state events should be held in Middle TN where travel is more centralized and teams don’t have to wait on busses half a mile up the street just to get into the stadium. Watching coaches and players walking around the block to stretch their legs is ridiculous. Hopefully the new titans stadium presents a permanent fix.

It use to be in Cookeville and Murfreesboro but during covid chattanooga was the only place that would let them do it.
