I watched a bit of GT vs Georgia the last two years. Both times, the quarterback had the most carries. Check the stats.

In 2024 game, GT quarterback had over 20 carries and was like a human battering ram. An awesome performance.

The coaching carousel went into a full-blown spin cycle on Sunday with five SEC schools announcing new head coaches. One of those final answers was Tulane’s Jon Sumrall heading to Florida after the Gators missed out on Lane Kiffin.

The next step for all of these programs will be filling out a full staff, which obviously could impact Tennessee. Alex Golesh, now at Auburn, has plenty of obvious ties to this staff. Defensive line coach Rodney Garner is an Auburn alum and is currently on an expiring contract, for example.

Another name popped up on Monday morning though, one that would be a pretty big surprise. Pete Nakos named Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle as a name to know in Sumrall’s search.

According to some VN experts on here, CJH calls all the plays so, we don’t need him anyway.

Imo we desperately need an oc to actually call the plays during the game in order for Hype to do better at clock management at the end of the first half and the end of the game.

I didn't call it a flexbone. Jokingly, I called it a wishbone.

Call it what you wish but takes a special kid to run that system. Must be extremely durable because the QB carries the ball by design.

May work for them. But I don't think their fanbase is sophisticated enough to appreciate the intrinsic value of the system. GT fans understand it.

You can tell a lot about a head coach by the caliber of coordinators/assistants he hires. Saban surrounded himself with great coaches and the results speak for themselves.

Everyone wanted Kiffin, lot of butthurt when we pivoted to coach Sumrall. He's won almost everyone over in a week or so. Of course saying all the right things and DOING all the right things aren't mutually exclusive, but we're pretty much uniformly on board at this point.
