I assume they will look at him and how quickly Faizon progresses, but there may be growing pains with either… depends on the staffs goals next season with how tough our schedule will be… that’s why I think if Joey cannot return, we look hard at a one year QB that can manage the game and throw the deep ball which lines up with our system. After next year, we’ll be in great shape at QB and won’t have to shop for a while there…

I know we probably don't add anymore HS recruits to this class, but all those unsigned DL at LSU.... If that situation doesn't work itself out by tomorrow, I'm shooting my shot if I'm Heupel. Make February great again.

I am definitely in favor of a one year proven rental QB if the staff feels that GMAC and Faizon aren't the answer next year. If it is GMAC, then I would expect fewer growing pains because he has been with the team longer.

Still don't know much of this Curtis kid, but pretty sure he'll show up to see a bunch of lames around him and immediately transfer after sitting all year to a 7th yr from Fresno St community college.

What Sally says about Fazion being an EE

Yes, five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon is an early entry and is expected to enroll at the University of Tennessee in January 2026 after graduating high school in December 2025. He officially signed with Tennessee during the early signing period on December 3, 2025.
Brandon had the opportunity to reclassify and enroll even earlier (in the spring of 2025) but chose to finish his senior season at Grimsley High School. He intends to compete for the starting job upon his arrival at Tennessee.
