I’m talking about frustration amongst the big money boosters that contribute the big donations, not Spyre and the coaching staff (and I’m just guessing BTW - I have no inside info on this). But, BUT, people get paid a lot more than the average fan to realize they’re in a chess game and have to see the moves ahead that they should be making to win. Sorry, I love chess, but suck at it now. BUT it seems to apply now in roster management and why just now? I get frustration, BUT again, why now in year 5. Why not before? Is it because Heupel or someone (Sexton) floated his name out for other jobs (LSU, Penn State) to get more money to in sight towards football? Sorry, I hate asking so much.
Just saw that he’s the first Duke player to average 30+ points over a 3-game span since JJ Reddick in 2006. JJ was no true freshman when he did it though. Last time I looked about a week ago, he also was leading Duke in rebounds, assists and blocks (in addition to points), while being 2nd on the team in steals. He’s also incedibly composed. Right now, I’d say he’s the best freshman I’ve ever seen.Cameron Boozer for Duke is an absolute freak. Hard to believe that kid is a true freshman. He dropped 29 on Florida tonight after scoring 35 in his last game.
He is gone after this year. He has all the tools but he didn’t show it tonight. We shouldn’t have. I’m not the most familiar w basketball recruits but Ament’s 24/7 eval said that he could potentially become the best player from this class but that he had a long way to go. Said he wasn’t as polished and ready for the next level as some of the other top recruits. (Not verbatim but that’s what I recall)
