Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Goodness man, this is the deepest team we've had in a long while. I wont defend the loss. other than Syracuse is a hard place to win on road. Missed a lot of shots, and they hit a lot. They didnt play like a 3 loss team.

Fortunately its early, and we are good. Not great. But good.
I agree and haven’t given up on them but they have a long way to go. Good thing it’s December. Hopefully their up to the challenge.

Having Ament bumble through a nationally televised game.

Chess. Not checkers.
Would you rather him bumble through a game against the Gators? Any bumble now is a learning experience. He grows with every game. Look at the Boozer kid a Duke. He's good. He's got tons of talent. But that talent has been honed at a different level than Amet. He's been in so many pickup games against very high level, NBA level, basketball games. He'll get there.

Board was talking about Garner maybe heading back to Auburn, and Chop going with him. My post is my thoughts on Coach Chop. What's hard to understand?
Yes, I follow. It's a figure of speech.

Hand wringing over a handful of assistants is pointless, when all or almost all of them will be gone when Banks is gone.

Not in today's NBA, not unless he grows up quick. He's not near the level of our last two star transfers to make the league and they're both depth pieces.

Shaedon Sharpe never played a single game at UK and was drafted 7th overall and averages 20 ppg in the league.

They draft on potential.

His play in pivotal moments has contributed to our two losses so far. I completely understand he is a freshman. But if he makes more mistakes than plays at the end of games, let someone else get those minutes.

Gotta let the young guy play through it if you’re hoping to develop him into what he *can be* by the end of the season
