Call me crazy...but I think Lane is setting himself up for the New Orleans Saints job when it opens up.

Kellen Moore is in year 1, but he's been booty cheeks...they'll give him at least 1 maybe 2 more years. But he will be fired in the not to distance future. Wild hair type of theory, but Lane went to the one state job that has a pro team (Mississippi doesn't) you could argue "why no Florida" but honestly none of the pro jobs in that state seem as likely to be firing soon. Jags & Bucs are 1st in division, Miami is having a rough year but McDaniel isn't likely on a hot seat yet.

He may stay at LSU awhile...but if he is successful there and gets tired of the year round job college is now requiring I wouldn't be surprised at all if his name is floated once the Saints fire Kellen.
