Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

With the $ commitment others in our conference have made to get better football, we aren’t trying very hard if we let it stop us.
We need to spend to update our roster. Banks can get canned at any time. Better yet, WMo. I hate to speculate about people losing jobs, esp around holidays. Glad I dont have to make that decision.

Again, they aren't gonna bump out a Bama team that played in the SECCG over a team that was idle. Unless Bama gets rolled or loses Simpson, they are in the CFP.
Just saw the Vegas odds and unfortunately, you're right. They have Bama -3000. Unbelievable. This indicates they believe Bama will move above ND in the rankings tonight and ensure they stay above Miami even if they lose. Miami is getting the Florida State 2023 treatment regarding this playoff. Crazy that they've played a tougher schedule, beat like opponents (NC State and Pitt) by more, and beat ND head-to-head and are still behind them.

Greg Sankey needs to be fired for going to a 9-game schedule without concessions for 6 SEC teams to get in. He pulled the ultimate own goal. Have all the power, the most money, the biggest TV sports network, and caved to the wishes of the BIG and ACC. What a disaster. The presidents need to out him for lack of competence and go back to the negotiating table. The committee is making it clear that overall win/loss and bias of past seasons matter more than strength of schedule. Makes zero sense to schedule anyone but FCS outside of the conference slate.

Happy Tuesday

December 2, 2025: Refuse to allow situations and circumstances to take you off course mentally or emotionally. God will show you the way out of this maze of confusion, but you must quiet your soul. Take a deep breath and seek the Lord for wisdom. Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

$ankey should float that SEC is considering a 8 team SEC championship tournament and skip CFP as it is flawed.

The playoffs would all be in neutral cities and any bowl organizations who would like to apply to be a host for a game should send the SEC office their proposal along with any Networks interested in the games leading up to CG since ESPN owns that should submit their proposal.

He should drop this announcement at noon today and watch the talking heads explode all afternoon leading up to CFP announcement.

The CFP commissioner would be drilled with questions tonight about the SEC’s concerns.

He has no spine. Just a weak negotiator

  • Childhood roots: He grew up in Louisville and regularly attended Kentucky football games with his family.
  • Coaching aspirations: Despite his Louisville playing career, he reportedly grew up as a die-hard UK fan and had attended games at the Commonwealth Stadium since he was a child.
So you’re telling me he had a traumatic childhood?
