Golding to Mississippi

Glad they told that clown to jump off a cliff. Kiffin made millions of dollars, then abandons the fans, alumni, players, and staff and turns around to blackmail the school as he is leaving. Talk about sleazy, unprofessional, and low class, any parent that believes anything he says is either a very poor judge of character or is using and counting on their kid to make a lot of NIL money for them .

Blackmail?
I'm not defending the guy but when coaches take another job they normally take their assistance with them. Some players follow that's pretty normal.
Tony V still taking our coaches?
Don't believe everything you read.

Ole Miss had to give Kiffin an ultimatum just so they could promote their DC? One of the main reasons that was given for the ultimatum was that they didn’t want to be on the outside looking in with all the coaching changes. So then they just promote one of their own?

It makes no sense other than maybe trying to send a message to the playoff committee that "we are good".

Ole Miss is a mess right now. I think they still make the playoffs, but it will go one of the following ways:

- They lose badly in the first game and folks then say, "well they should have been removed because the coach left".
- They win several games and folks say, "sorry LSU, Kiffin really isn't the coach you think he is".

He’s been a fairly successful DC there and at Bama so it’s not like he’s unqualified. If you have 2 unknowns or equivalent choices, why not go with the one that you know has deeper ties to the community and university?
He has done OK at Ole Miss but Alabama fans thought he was one of the worst defensive coaches they had ever had and ran him off.

If they're wise, they'll let Golding have a year to salvage and keep together what is there while they wait for next year when not as many big jobs are open, and it's more of a buyer's market.

Going to be a hell of game next year when Kiffin brings his LSU Tigers to Mississippi to face Golding and the Rebels…there will be a lot of Rebel fans that day.
