I started this thread for Butch. I started it for Pruitt. I’d be dumb as hell to start it for CJH, but I sure as hell am going to start it for Tim Banks. I have never despised a coordinator more, I hate this dude more than Sal SUNSERI. At least his defense gave up huge chunk plays so I didn’t have to see us give us 8 minute drives to high school offenses.

It’s time to go Banks. Your defensive philosophy sucks. Talent carried your defense last year. Period. You never make correct adjustments, your players can’t tackle, your dbs play 10 yards off guys constantly. YOU HAVE NO ANSWERS. You coach saftey which has been our worst position for us every year since you got here by a landslide. You aren’t a good recruiter. What value are you bringing? Go. Away.

Please CJH, for this programs sake, MAKE THE TOUGH, BUT RIGHT DECISION. I’m sure Banks is a great guy, but he’s a trash defensive coordinator.

With that out of the way, if CJH actually does the correct thing, who do you want?

I’m not sure there’s ever been a time where it had to happen until this year. The defense was ba din 21 and 22 but it was understandable given the situation. It got better in 23 and was great in 24. (24 we just had a lot of talent to mask our crap coaching) But even those years (Banks got schooled by offenses with a pulse/talent) this year it fell off a cliff. To an an unacceptable level.

It’s clear Banks has no answers and has zero idea what he’s doing.

He was 86th in CFB at 27.3 points per game coming into today's game. There's a chance this years defense is ranked behind the 2021 team, which is sad to say.

He won’t leave on his own decision, too tight with the AD. Certainly not to Ole Miss or Arkansas (legit the worst job in the sec atm)

Doubtful, he isn’t wanting to coach right now. He’s prioritizing family time.

With the loss last night he will struggle to hire someone decent. The time to hire a new DC was at the end of 2022 or 2023 season when we had loads of momentum. Instead, he very foolishly handed the OC position to his inexperienced buddy and made Banks one of the highest paid coordinators in the country.

This season, if you really look at it, could have been great. UGA and OU at home. UGA down on offense and defense compared to the norm for Kirby. OU very one dimensional on offense. Florida historically bad. Possibly the worst SEC schedule we’ve ever had. But because we didn’t take the hiring process seriously we are debating who to hire so that we don’t suck in year 6 rather than how the SEC Championship game will go or our playoff seeding.

Heupel doesn't even have the courage to confront any of the officials on the sideline when his team is getting railroaded, so I don't think the cowardly lion's got the courage to actually fire somebody.

Unfortunately, Banks will leave whenever he feels like it.
