Lane would legit be stupid to leave. He built the program. He’s shown you can go 11-1 at Ole Miss. he’s got it made there. They’ll never even think about firing dude. He could go 3-9 next season and they’d still love him. Sure LSU is a better overall program atm , but you’ve built Ole Miss up to honestly rival top SEC programs. Why leave unless it’s just a way bigger offer?

I don’t understand why some of these programs aren’t looking at Bob Chesney at JMU. Or an outside the box hire like Patricia and let him bring in an NFL staff. I love that they all seem infatuated with Kiffen or other “name” coaches who ESPN pundits try to say are the best. Lots of good coaches and many seem focused on a few.
