In most years, you see a team grow, develop and get better as the year goes along. I thought the WR group performed above expectations. Is there any other group where you saw improvement from game one to game 12?

I’d say we saw a regression in a number of areas. I can’t think of one group on defense where the position group made strides.

Thoughts?
My card…..

OL: regressed
RB: regressed
WR: Better than expected and performed through out the year.
TE: Davis improved. Kitz regressed.
QB: regressed

DL: Regressed
LB: status quo or regressed
DB: I didn’t see the freshman improve (despite playing all year) and Hood looks far worse than he did in early games.
Safety: Terrible to start and terrible until the end.

Special teams: Regressed.

TE: improved
WR: improves
QB: drastic improvement
OL: push
RB: not really a regression coming from Sampson
Defense: huge regression
Special teams: regressed
I thought the OL actually played pretty well vs. last year. JA had a lot more time in most cases. Runs with sub Sampson talent had more room.

D Line was a big disappointment. No Dogs just wanting to dominate. Same for LB.

I was referring to progressing through the year. I agree, the OL was better than last year. We have legit bodies at that position now. No offense to Cooper Mays, but that guy had no business starting 4 years in the SEC.

The Oline got worse from week 1 to week 12z

Strange take on Mays IMO. I'm thinking he gave up almost no sacks and played great all year. It was everybody around him that was the problem.

If you think Mays was a quality OL, you are entitled to that opinion. He was spunky, but way too small to be playing at this level without ever having his job challenged. It’s pretty friggin sad that they couldn’t teach anyone to snap the ball for five years and still Had to go to a transfer because Sattewhite wasn’t ready.

Bishop did not regress, the other backs did. Morris is going to be good.

The huge problem I have with our staff, is that they get out coached (it seems) during every half time.

We look like gang busters the first half and come out and get blasted in the 2nd half. 3 points over the past 2 games in the 2nd half.

INEXCUSABLE!
Because first 2 to 3 possessions offense is pre scripted, then after that the defense usually adapts. On Defense our DC play calls are scripted then the Offense adapts and Banks don't.

I think our offense plays well enough to win games. The measure of a team ( and coaches ) is how they improve from beginning of the season and the defense does not improve. By mid season you should see improvements but we don't seem to figure it out on defense
