Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

They could do worse. I think it's possible that Golesh could be a better HC than Heupel. Golesh still seems to have that fire, whereas Heupel's fire seems diminished.

Interesting that people think this. Sure he could be. But Golesh hasn’t proven anything yet even at a G5 school.

I do think he’d be a great hire tho. Keep the offensive vibes flowing for Ole Miss. Ready made situation to win. Don’t think he’d have nearly as much success at ARK

Did Georgia also have to recruit with less scholarships, less official visits, less unofficial visits, less evaluation time, and over a month less of communication with recruits every year? No? Ok
I get your stuck on the sanctions deal
I also get your a stat/number guy
I also don’t believe in this day in college football with nil that loss of scholarship means **** anymore bc they can be paid by donors under the table
As old as these coaches are and the connections they have and tech they have I don’t think much of that matters for evaluating and communicating bc everyone is cheating with that

Visit wise might be a problem but we have a ton of guys in and our current class is very good

Problem with getting recruits is coaches
Our DC isn’t very good
CJH has gotten less aggressive over the years here
We need a QB that can run and throw
We need an OC like golesh again
We need the Fire back CJH used to have when we were playing with house money the first few years

I’m trying to argue and do t think your some toothless idiot as you would say lol

Just think we’ve hit a wall and need to break through it and keep climbing

Imagine having a super star freshmen linebacker and playing Telander for most of the game. Or letting Jakobe walk and saying Turrentine is a good player. And not being aggressive in the portal for DBs when our best one was injured and we had no depth.

What a clown show.

Turned into one for sure. I think if Gibson stayed healthy, Hood did what he did, and Boo would’ve been what we all thought he was gonna be that it would’ve been better.

But mannnn that train derailed quick

What exactly has Heupel proven? Didn't prove anything at UCF. Has had some success here, but has he really proven anything? I really do think this offseason will tell us a lot about Heupel. What he does and what he doesn't do will speak volumes.

commence the porthole, yeti.

he is as soft as his players. Beamer is a douche but at least he shows some fire. Spurrier was a db but he showed. He just sits there like a lump on a log and oh wow gee golly.
I’d love to see him lose it on an official just once, or get in a players face like literally ever championship coach ever

Is this for real? Are we really serious with these questions?

Heupel had two 10+ win seasons at UCF, two 10+ win seasons here. He’s 45-19 here.

That’s miles and miles and miles above what Golesh has done.

He's proven he can get into the playoffs. . .

I think he’s done just as much a kiffy but without the social media aspect

I'm telling you, our OL fell apart. I mentioned this during the game. I doubt Heupel replaces his bestie, but Elarbee has not done a great job developing these guys.

I think you could argue based on ROI offensive line is one of our worst performing position groups. They are improved from last season but we also make a sizable $$ investment in them.

I know I constantly complain about safeties but we go cheap at that position. You get what you pay for 🤷‍♂️
