People are too consumed with name coaches. Sumrall has much more potential than Napier had, imo.

Lol this is perfect but I don’t necessarily agree they would’ve or even could’ve done better with more resources.

These schools aren’t hiring proven P4 coaches (depending on what Kiffin does). Hell the best hire of the cycle so far is James Franklin at VT and it ain’t close.

The previous Tulane HC had more success than what Sumrall has so far there.

I remember after last season I was begging to go get portal help for the secondary and the DL. Especially after McCoy got hurt. And we picked up Hood, who was a great pick up, but I kept saying we needed more. And people kept saying, "Do you think you know more than the coaches?" FTR, I don't think I know more than the coaches. But it seemed fairly obvious, to me anyway, what our weaknesses were. And that is what has made this season so frustrating for me. I would rather that I was proven wrong, but I wasn't. And so now, I'm mad at myself for being right.

Actually, IIRC, I thought the position would work itself out. I wasn't opposed to taking one, but I wasn't championing it like I was defense. I do recall thinking it reflected poorly on Pope that almost the entire room left. Receiver play has been good this season, so I'll eat crow on that.

The difference is Kiffin really is a ho. He proved it on a professional level when he left here in the middle of the night. He proved it on a personal level while here, when he crashed his car with a couple of coeds in it. It got hushed up, but if you know, you know. His philandering while he was here was well known.

Point being, "ho" is an accurate description of Kiffin.

No I totally get what the writer was saying. And its accurate. They gave him everything and he's still answering calls.

But maybe you wait to hit send until he's actually made that decision instead of giving him an extra reason to leave.
