Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

While I will agree with you re: Locked On podcasts, I’ve listened to him for years and he’s always been spot on when it comes to stuff with that program. It’s nit just football. He’s very locked in with every sport at LSU. He hasn’t changed his mind either. He’s been saying from the very beginning that until the ink is dry anything can happen. He never said that Kiffin is a done deal. He just said he still believes Kiffin will be the next HC but that after talking to someone close to the Ole Miss program he’s not as confident as he was earlier this week.

He also said that Sumrall is the target for Ole Miss, Florida and Auburn if Kiffin stays at Ole Miss. Said Auburn has supposedly given Sumrall a deadline of this weekend to give them an answer or they’re moving on.
I saw a Gator fan quote him earlier today suggesting that he was saying it was a done deal but I didn't watch the video. I took his word for it. So you may be right. You're in better position to know than me.

I haven’t researched this but a buddy of mine told me interesting facts. 1. Every year that has ended in a 5, a running back has won the Heisman Trophy. 2. Every year a Pope has died, Notre Dame has gone 9-3 or maybe has had 3 losses. When he told me earlier, “I said there is now running back in the running, but Notre Dame might go 9-3.” Of course, now Love is getting talked about for the Heisman and Nortre Dame would have to lose to Stanford in an upset to go 9-3, but will more than likely they will lose and have 3 losses. 🤔
It's always important to look for patterns. Probably even more so to understand you should be looking for them. I am very interested to see what happens. Not dismissing any of it, because there are a lot of things that are orchestrated. For instance, you'll see the number 33 repeat in news stories and in lots of public arenas. Look up how many songs and films include the number. There's an esoteric significance to the number. 33 steps to kundalini. 33 vertebrae in the human spine. Jesus lived 33 years. 33 degrees of Freemasonry.

I was actually looking at this repeating 3 loss pattern to see if I recognized 33 somehow.

To answer your question, I want the tax write-off every time if I'm someone who donates to a University. But I'm never going to be in that position. I wouldn't give that much money to a school if I had it and I'm not knocking anyone who does. I think there's a lot more good I could do with that money and it's a lot of money and could help a lot of people.

I didn't understand your last sentence.
Make the contribution to the school or a foundation that can then move the funds to NIL so you still get the write off.

This is hot takes done right.

Kelly doesn’t wanna recruit and FL is gonna hire Jedd Fisch.

Edit: chip or Brian? Chip doesn’t wanna recruit. Well I guess maybe Brian doesn’t either
There are some mighty good dance moves that would prove otherwise in regards to Brian Kelly.

What are you talking about? There is not a big loud chunk of our fan base that wants him fired. Out of the thousands of Vol fans, you will find a few that make stupid comments. There are also going to be more than a few trolls from other teams that use a screen name with Vols in it to pretend to be one of our own.

Now you may want to avoid social media during game days and a couple of days after big losses. People are very emotional and want to fire everyone. I, myself, will want to fire the entire staff if we lose this game Saturday. By Wednesday of the following week, I will start thinking rationally and realize that maybe he has done a good job overall. It may take longer than that bc I freaking hate Vandy!!! Go Vols! Kick that Dore azz!!!
There are more than a few, and I absolutely agree they are in the minority..but..EVERY time we lose, and much weirder, even when we win...I see more and more normally decent, common sense, level headed posters succumbing to and agreeing with the Idiot Margins truckload of talking points...then they start spewing the nonsense..

They just couch it a little by saying things like.."I don't want him fired..BUT..blah blah scared blah blah stupid blah blah uncreative blah blah gimmicky blah blah"

Either way...I hope we win this game and the bowl game, not just because I always want to win, especially against Vanderbilts gauche jumped up lottery winner trailer park slut team, but also because we won't have to put up with the toxic sewage that will spew from here on out if we do not.

But mostly just because I HATE Vanderbilt with every fiber of my being....and I can't wait until everyone sees what they really still are after they lose 25 players off of this team when the season is over..

Clark should leave like Franklin did while he has the chance to get a better job.

There is now a "Protest the Hire" thread on Gators 247 and it immediately points out we got rid of Schiano.

We also don't pack stadiums to play cupcake teams in 3 win seasons. It ain't the same.

But these guys don't even know who the hire is yet. They were fully prepared to protest anyone who isn't Kiffin.

I don’t want to know about Bobs Titt. He had female ones in Fight Club

I don't want to know anything about that. I watched that film once. It wasn't really a film I thought would be enjoyable to see again. Sort of like every M. Night Shamalaka film. I'm mad at you now. I'm not really. I just want to pretend to be mad at you. It seems fun.

A job no one is talking about is Penn St. who the hell are they gonna hire? They’re gonna end up regretting firing Franklin.
I am going to bet they already have their head coach locked up, and will announce it after he coaches the last game of the regular season this weekend. Let’s just hope it is not our coach. A little bit concerned because there was a little bit of early talk I think somewhere about Heupel and Penn State, and then it disappeared. It seems I remember that happening a few times in the past with coordinator hires, like it’s floated out there to see what people say, and then it disappears, only to re-emerge as the actual hire down the road. I still fully believe he and his family love Knoxville, and there’s no way he would leave, but you just never know in this sport.

Sumrall will have to choose between Florida and Auburn.
There are boosters and people behind the scenes connected specifically to Florida who think the next coach has already agreed to the job.

That doesn't mean it's a for sure thing. Maybe he does go to Auburn. I'm not sure which program is better.

I will never understand the ridiculous obsession LSU and Florida have, and even more ridiculously, a ton of our "fans" have for Lane Kiffin...they are willing to wreck CFB over that dude and I do not understand it.

He is a good coach and has done a really good job at Ol Piss...but IMO Heupel has done just as well or even better here at least until this season...but a big loud chunk of our idiot fanbase already wants to get rid of Heup, and I guarantee that most of those big chunk of idiots would themselves if they thought Kiffin was going to replace him...once again I do not understand why and never will.

He is a really good coach, but he us not any better than any of the other really good coaches in CFB.
Heupel is the better coach imo. Had we not had the significant injuries we had on top of the Boo issue, this team would’ve had back to back playoff appearances. Because I think we would’ve beaten UGA and Oklahoma (and of course Vandy tomorrow).
