The only thing that might be a big difference is boo was on our defense those two games. I think we are seeing proof in the pudding the last couple of games with him not playing anymore.
Our star has not been good this year. Between boo and Jmac. Wish we had used 4-3 sooner. I think it’s a good thing to run for our Lb unit. Can leave Telander to play a more natural LB spot and let your speedy LBs (Spillman, Harmon, Burns, Perlotte, Carter) fly around.

Literally nobody cares about winning that tournament minus a few of yall. It’s a pre-conference schedule tourney that means NOTHING for the season goals. Outside the tournament we will play at Syracuse, Illinois on neutral court, and Louisville. We’ve got plenty enough of a tough schedule. The only thing that matters is that you win the games you’re scheduled to play, so you get as good a field of 68 seeding as possible. That’s it.

Starting next year it's going to get pretty crazy. The day before the SEC announced 9-game conference schedules, the CFP put out a statement that they're updating their (secret) selection criteria/formula. Basically reserving the right to put any team in. The SEC was waiting for that before they went to 9 conference games. Every 3-loss SEC team will be in the mix until the final selection show.
I think it will be 16 teams too

Winner gets $1M in NIL money.

We are playing for $300k.

We beat Houston and are coming out $300k richer, so I ain’t mad. But Barnes is probably a little mad, guess he could have kept starters in against Rutgers and tried to humiliate them even further.

It wouldn’t have mattered in that tourney

It’s not necessarily about who we play or winning it, it’s about the payout that is dumb. Our players should get rewarded, and a $700k difference based on scheduling and point differentials is extreme.

Did not know that, thank you. Still don’t think it greatly changes my feeling though.

Questions: To be used… when? For the current players or just to the school in general? I mean $1million ain’t nothing and that could be plenty useful, but in terms of this season nobody is going to be saying well they only played Kansas and Houston instead of Houston and Gonzaga/michigan… I like that we were in a position to get the backups the experience we might need to rely on over the course of what has continued to become a more and more grueling schedule in the sec.
