Tony could have just decided to not take the Tennessee job to begin. You win a national championship for a program like ours, where we were going into the last series of the season every year just to see if we could qualify for the SECT, you can do whatever the hell you want to. If he really wanted to screw us he would have taken Elander with him too. A lot of y’all sound like very entitled individuals because Tony literally owed Tennessee nothing. It’s called division 1 and professional sports and it’s a business. He is a VFL because he brought this program to heights unseen. It will still be a great program because he left it in such great shape. Otherwise we still wouldn’t be getting top recruits like Elander is still getting. Life moves on. Get the f over it or go cry to your mamma about it. Go see a damn therapist if it bothers you that much.

CTV is the GOAT in college baseball at UT ever. He built a powerhouse baseball program and brought all of the Assistants with him when he started at UT. He has every right to take all of them with him. He loves UT and Knoxville. He was at the OK and New Mexico St football games and will be at the Vandy game. When I see him again, I will shake his hand and thank him for all he’s done for TN, and tell him he’s a VFL in my book! 🍊😀😀👊👊👍👍👊😀🍊

He had a once in a lifetime opportunity to manage in MLB at a historic franchise!! It’s literally never been done in the history of the game! I’m hugely disappointed that he’s gone, but I’m happy for him and all of his Assistants! What an incredible opportunity!

And to expound on that, he's not taking anyone. Those guys have a choice to take the opportunity he has rewarded them with in lieu of their loyalty and hard work. What is he supposed to do, deny them the opportunity out of some sense of loyalty to Tennessee over them, and say, "Well, sorry Coach ______. I know I took the opportunity of a lifetime to pursue an MLB dream, but I just can't offer you that same opportunity because some Tennessee fans might get mad."

I love the passion for UT sports, but with passion like this it leads to some really irrational views.

This is their jobs...their careers. Maybe their career goals aren't staying in Knoxville forever; it's not personal. You need to think of in terms of a job/career, not a sports team. If your friend left for a job they said gives them more of what they are looking for, and then they recruited other coworkers they trusted to come over too....would you think anything of that? I doubt it.

Some of you all take this wayyyyy too personally. It's business and it's normal.

💯

We have a lot of sensitive entitled brats within our fanbase that think we are owed everything. We need to just be grateful Tony even came along to put our program where it has gotten to.
