If you are going to have money involved as a prize for winning the “championship” then you need to have a traditional bracket. Michigan/Kansas and Gonzaga/Tennessee should be playing each other in the semifinals and then the winners of those games would play the championship and the losers would play the 3rd place game. With how outspoken Volnation is, I bet they change their format going forward.

Good grief. American sports rules in holiday tournaments don't revolve around VolNation... Just because fans got Schiano run off before he got here doesn't mean we rule the world.


Btw: if they do change something it WILL NOT be because of the loud mouth toxic fans on Twitter....

Not saying we rule world but if enough bad publicity is brought to the issue at hand then you will either have programs not want to participate in your tournament or it will force you to change your format.

Usually but every team that played in the tournament gets a $1 million dollars for their players NIL ... Plus if your team qualifies for last 4 your team wins more money... That's enough motivation to get you to bring your team plus great competition before league play.

And, they knew the tournament rules, prior to accepting the invite.

Can't make everyone happy in this tournament..btw I really don't like the tournament only thing it's doing is hurting the other holiday tournaments by taking away the big name teams that usually play in their tournament..

Look at the field in Maui and the Battle in the Bahamas.. bunch of mid tier teams...
