And he made that putback with his left hand. Amphibious! In Ament's defense, he was getting karate chopped on several of his attempts with no call. He also had to sit and sit with foul trouble and never got rhythm. We saw vs Rutgers how he goes when he gets in rhythm. But he still made winning basketball plays, like following the break to clean up JG's miss. No one else on the team ran after the play like that. Good thing he did.
Otherwise, we were just bigger and stronger than them. They made a lot of high difficulty long threes and a few twos with that same difficulty, but that cold stretch did them in, when they weren't making near miracle shots they couldn't score.
We just methodically ground them down in the paint, something they normally do. J.P is an elite finisher down low as an aside.
Bodes well for SEC play as its traditionally a blood bath.In Ament's defense, he was getting karate chopped on several of his attempts with no call. I saw this as well with Ament but he needed this, IMO. Today was a growing up day for him against a very good team.
