Ignorance is a choice (for most).

Right. I support that (I would loan $0), but that’s a slightly different topic. I’m speaking specifically about the nonsense claims that “Trump says we aren’t professionals!”.

It’s been all over social media. My nurses have complained about it. It’s nonsense.

This can have a big impact on an industry that’s already short on quality individuals.
It will have an impact on student loans.

There’s been a massive ignorant backlash about how “we aren’t considered professional!”. That part is retarded.

As far as student loans, less is more. 100% remove all federal loans. It’s the reason these programs are so absurdly expensive. Throwing more money at them will only worsen the problem

Cut loans for gender studies.
But leave the people who keep us alive alone.
Let people bankrupt student loans. When the initial fervor is over, the only people taking gender studies and 15th century gay french poetry will be self funded, because the banks won't loan money for that ****. Then those degrees will cease to exist and higher education will be back to the status it should have.

Of course it could also potentially be a benefit. Will the schools be pressured to offer the degree for the lower amount resulting in a smaller student loan to repay?

Either that or see the demand for their programs diminish. Once the government sets a price like they do with student loan caps, programs will intentionally charge the cap.

You’d see it a lot in the military with schools that cater to military personnel. They’d always charge the max per credit hour that the government would pay.

This is a really great idea. Majors priced based on supply and demand. Without fed loans, the true value of education will be realized because the consumers (students) are forced to consider ROI.

Step 1: Remove all government loans.

Step 2: remove all minimum wage laws

Step 3: bring back apprenticeships

Somehow society has determined it’s ethical to pay thousands of dollars to learn something poorly in a classroom, but purely evil to earn a few dollars an hour actually learning how to be productive

Would nursing be an apprenticeship?
