Just like we reset the entire Market when it came to baseball coaches, LSU is about to do the same with football.

That’s ridiculous if true. Only one coach is worth even close to that amount of money, and he’s currently on a weekly sports show every Saturday morning. To even remotely argue Kiffin is in the same caliber of coaching ranks as Saban is laughable.

I agree. Speaking of Kirby, he apparently gets whatever the highest paid college coach is being paid. UGA has to match that. It’s in his contract there. So if LSU pays Kiffin 16 million, UGA has to give Kirby that.

I don’t feel it with any of the Heistman candidates. I don’t really follow it or put any stock in it, but I came across an article just now and read my first one in many years.

I haven’t seen Fernando Mendoza play, but the article said he had his Heistman moment coming from behind to edge out Penn State, who sucks and fired their coach, and bragged about the amazing “circus catch” that had to compensate for his throw. They had plain vanilla (and officiating crew beneficiary) Ty Simp on the list! I’m not making this up. A RB for media-promoted ND shot up to near the top of the line, they said, for 3 TDs against the Syracuse team that is a mere shadow of its former self and suffering a 7-game losing streak (!) since QB Steve Angeli tore his Achilles tendon in Sept. Bucknut signal caller J Sayin is on the list and a LB from Texas Tech. Even the dildo smoker who plays for Vandy.

This annual pageant has all the dignity and gravitas of a telemarketing boiler room imo. Is there anyone at all you think deserves a Heistman this year?

I think that idea has outlived it's usefulness.

Kirby isn't going to take that much money away from the roster. Lane? Maybe, maybe not. Kirby Smart... Doubt it.

I can't stand that dude and his $7 haircut. But I don't think anyone can question that he is squarely about ball.
