Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I watched the game again this morning. I guess I am going to need to watch it a 3rd time. I am really having a hard time identifying the times in the game where the previous 10 games played @UF affected this year's team. I read all week, all season really, that we were not going to win @UF because of previous games. 🙄
I had no doubt our team could win in the Swamp. I felt equally confident we'd see some ridiculous supernatural force change the game in favor of the gata. I kept waiting on it to happen, but it never did. The gata had no shot at beating UT this year.

if ya'll don't think next season when FL comes to Neyland with a new coach that they won't even blink if they can run up 50 on us... you are crazy.

vAndy is coming to Neyland and if you think they won't run up 50 on us if they can, you are crazy...

We played two different halves of football last night... first half was business and we kicked arse... second half we just coasted and seemed to feel sorry for them and wouldn't run up the score... beta move... since 2003... and we just tried to run out the clock the entire 4th...

portal shopping should include a consistent kicker if we are thinking on trying to make the playoffs anytime soon... we will be in close games where we need to have confidence in our kicker in the 40+ yard range...

Glad we broke the curse and hopefully this gets the team energized and confident for our last game... it's gonna be a battle...

That’s not true at all lol, eason-hobbs-bailey-west-ac-telander-turrentine-bishop-wright and im sure several others were here in 2023 and some even in 2021
I think it’s on offense. Bishop was a walk-on that probably didn’t travel. Umarov and Davis redshirted. Everyone else is young or a transfer.

Me: “This is only our third win in Gainesville since the Nixon administration! And we dominated from start to finish!”

Some others: “We didn’t win by enough.”
Show of hands, how many on here had to goggle Nixon administration to get the years?
😂 man I’m old😞

There are fans who still want to fire the coach that beat Nick MF'ing Saban, ended the Bama streak (2-3 vs Bama), beat Florida in the Swamp (3-2 vs UF), took us to the CFP, has a Biletnikoff winner, and is continuing to recruit in the Top 10 annually.

Because they don't like how Heupel uses timeouts.

Those fans are dumb.
Say it louder for the guys in the football forum!!!

Did anyone else hear the comment that no one on this year's roster had ever played in the Swamp? Did I hear that right? Is that even true? If so, that's how you break a streak. Just don't have anyone on the team that has experienced the curse. Completely new bloodline!
Can't recall if Arion Carter or Jeremiah Telander played in the game or not; but, they were on the team year before last.

And, Bryson Eason has played in the Swamp five or six times.

Joshua Josephs, too. I'm sure there's others.

See I look at the second half differently. In the first half we had 3 that I remember but I feel like there was a 4th, starter go out with an injury for a certain amount of time. I feel like they all came back in, but I could be wrong about that part. So, you have a much bigger game coming up and you’re already up 31 on a rival that, let’s be honest, if we wanted to we could have dropped another 30 on. I’m perfectly fine with taking it easy to come out of the game without any serious injuries, especially given how thin we are at certain spots.

It was very obvious that that is what they were doing. If it looked like we were actually trying to score, and just couldn’t, then I would definitely be agreeing with you.

Lol @ thinking Heup felt sorry for them.

Just making stuff up in your own head.

And we killed their will in the 4th. Ran it down their throats. They knew it was coming and could do nothing about it. That was more impressive than putting up 50. This is the same strategy that UGA has employed vs us for years. Get a lead, avoid turnovers, make the opposing team hate life.

We really need to move past the BVS. It was our own incompetence that led to the 22 yr drought.
