Josh Heupel is flat out awful in clock management situations... that was not conservatism. that was once again not tracking the downs/clock/timeout situation (similar to Billy Napier ironically).

Im not upset with the score, Im thrilled. I just don’t understand why Heup doesn’t seem to have that killer instinct anymore. He starts the clock management stuff. I think he overthinks it. Heup isn’t the only coach with clock issues. I actually felt like Venables in the Oky-Mizzou today was the first coach ive seen in awhile that used his time outs wisely.

Well, Joey has throw 10 INTs so when a team sits back with 2 safeties I think we’re going to throw short or run unless we’re behind..,Heupel did te same thing with Nico last year against Oklahoma…if Florida stays in this D we’ll probably not throw a deep ball…not up 31 points…just grind it out

Pretty close in 96. I was there and FLA absolutely beat us senseless in the 2nd half. I think we were up 31-10 or something like that.

It was 30-14 in 95 which is half the current lead. Never had a lead in 96

Great 1st half & hard to complain about anything… But, Heupel needs someone to teach him how to manage the clock at end of half/game situations. It’s been atrocious & a serious problem all season.
Hopefully we’ll keep our foot on their throat the entire 2nd half & put the game away.
