And I would let him go to those schools and find a different qb that can run this system. It doesn’t have to be an NFL style qb. He just has to be able to hit the deep ball every once in awhile.

Coaches fell in love with big arms and prototypical nfl type buildings. It is not that hard to find someone to put air under the ball. It is the same reason I knew that JA would be the man and successful here. Look at some of the qbs Art Briles had success with.

Defense looked so good last year because we had a few dudes at impact positions. They never seem to dial up great gameplans to exploit weakness. Like every team throwing to #4 this year. We never try to attack weak positions.

I think that’s one of the most frustrating things to me about our coaching staff in general. We don’t try to expose the weaknesses on both side sides of the ball. We just come in with our game plan of what we’re gonna do and think we’re going to impose our will no matter what.
