New York City

Lol, he has said he would work with Trump on affordability and not on Trump's other grievances the entire time. Trump is the one that flipped from "not giving NYC any money" to "we want to see NYC succeed" and stealing Zohran's affordability messaging every few hours
Trump literally ran on reducing costs, so I fail to see how he is "stealing" from Zohran there. if anything Zohran would be stealing from Trump.

He ran on it, didn't deliver it and hadn't been talking about it much, then Zohran won and Trump acted like a kid who just learned the word "affordability" for the first time and couldn't stop using it. There's a video somewhere in the last couple pages

All of them run on it, none of them are going to deliver it. More News at 5.

Inflation, and tariffs have been things Trump talks about. he bragged about how much cheaper gas and groceries were. he wrongly assumed tariffs would help, but he has certainly been talking about it.

Practically every politician runs on affordability to one extent or another. None of them deliver nor will they ever deliver on it, at least not intentionally. Maybe somewhere along the way one of them will accidentally lower the cost of living.

There is only one way for a government to make good/services more affordable, provide the environment for competition and lower the financial burden (taxes, regulations ext) for the companies that provide the goods/services. The new NY mayor isn't proposing to do any of that.

Taking from some to subsidize others is not making things more affordable.

Nearly every time this administration attempts to cut spending or the federal employee payroll he is sued by the democrats followed up by a judge stopping the action.

Mamdani campaign saying $30m was spent on Islamophobic ads in the  primary and then we saw 17m xenoophobic posts online regarding ZM leading up to the election, according to Quality Labs.

I myself feel like I saw a million of them.

The ads in NYC were constant, and there was a new NY Post hit piece every single day

He was correct that we were getting raped in trade deals and tariff deficits. I think (hope) in time the tariff war will settle out and we get less polarizing and fairer deals.

The Commie wants to raise the tax on ANY corporation that does business in NYC to over 11%. He says that this will "make it easier for those businesses to attract top talent". He also says it will make the city more affordable.

Somebody please make that make sense.

All of the profitable businesses will leave and real estate values will drop. Problem solved...

They won't leave, but The Commie's delusion is in thinking it will lower costs and those companies will be able to attract top talent. That's what I can't get my head around. If my costs to his government go up, does he really think I am going to eat those costs? So by increasing my costs, I have to increase prices. Now I'm originally from Kentucky, but even with that hillbilly math, increased costs to the business do not result in lower prices for the consumer.

And his increased personal income tax is just more theft. But he is a radical Moslem, so.....
