0-8 in the SEC... Only on his watch.

His only virtue? He knew UT to be a career destination job and wanted it (despite being incapable of doing it).

Dobbs saved UT football during Jones' tenure. Without Dobbs? See line one of my post.

Without Dobbs, he wouldn't have had a winning season during his tenure.

Yep.

What's crazy with Jones is how thin the line was for him pretty much every season between being great and being terrible; which yeah you can say about many coaches but he was definitely a roller coaster and yes his talent especially Dobbs covered him. Every season he could have had more wins or more losses by changing just in some cases a few plays. And then 2017 it felt like it all caught up to him and given the first game with GT it could have ended even worse.

I still don't understand how he's gotten as many solid jobs as he has. Its pretty obvious he's as fake as he comes, but AD's still fall for it.

I think where he is at should be his ceiling, though even for Arkansas St. he seems to be underachieving. But any talk of him for a P4 job would be silly, even for the P4 teams that are never going to really compete. Even those jobs are above him at this point.
