Lsu fan camped out at baton rouge airport

EDIT: op admitted it was fake

He's got a freaking away ballgame tomorrow. I really don't think he has time for a trip to Baton Rouge. Besides the coach doesn't show up until it is done deal, they have people to do the dirty work. When a coach is moving everyone knows well ahead of time, there are really no surprises.

From the Florida board

"Eli Drinkwitz is no longer considered one of the top candidates. Things are subject to change, but that's what we're hearing as of now. While UF vetted Drinkwitz and likes him, the school recognizes that his hire would not go over well with the fan base."
They are running out of options. If they don't get Kiffin, I think they end up hiring an NFL OC or even an NFL HC who is trying to avoid the hot seat. There aren't many/any splash hires left in the college ranks but a successful NFL guy always creates some buzz.

I put a hex on them. They are doomed. Butch incomming.....1763739470774.png

weak administration if they care what the fanbase thinks.

That's the sign of an AD who doesn't understand the job. Running a coaching search like Auburn.

Hire the best candidate, sell it to the donors, then sell it to the fan base. Your job is those three things, in that order.

What exactly are you getting paid for if you think your job is to hire someone like it's a democracy? You can set up a Twitter poll for free.

Having some of the best offenses ever and winning consistently outside of a bs 6-4 covid year. Tons of op outs and injuries that seasons.

Oklahoma pedigree and success as a coordinator there. Success at Utah State, Mizzou in the SEC and then UCF.

Schiano did a good job at Rutgers, sure, but Josh easily had a better resume, especially when it comes to understanding what it takes to win at an elite program.
Josh >>>>> Schiano for sure.

But Schiano would have been a decent coach here, far better than what we got. I actually liked his resume quite a bit, but I just hated the idea of anyone connected to Sandusky being our coach. I don't know enough facts to say he had any guilt in the situation, but just being there was enough to make me not want him as the face of our program.

I don't know a whole lot of people who believed, even at the time, that Pruitt was a better football coach than Schiano. The guy had literally never been a HC at any level, not even high school. I hated that hire at the time too, but the Schiano thing had nothing to with football for me. What he did at Rutgers was more impressive than what Cignetti is doing at Indiana now. I get it didn't last and he hasn't replicated that success again, but the run he had there was miraculous, and he could have been successful here I think.

This is somewhat of a hot take, but I really believe Kiffin stays at Ole Miss. They're giving him everything he needs to win there. Recruiting grounds don't mean anything anymore, it's not the old days where UF and LSU are clearly the better choice because you can get better recruits. Ole Miss has a massive NIL fund, they love him, the pressure isn't as much to win, and yet he's winning anyway. I think he'd be a fool to go anywhere but OSU or Bama or UGA at this point in time. And I think he learned his lesson from leaving us.

Recruiting is about the future. People drawn to it are generally more positive and always will be. Those who come here and complain about that fact should read the room. There is another forum that focuses on the past. They might be more comfortable there.

Recruiting is often a rosy discussion and justifiably so but this forum also discusses more than just recruiting.

I agree, but can he manage his ego?

I work with a Bammer. They think Kiffin is on the “Saban path” so he’ll take the LSU job then eventually the Alabama job down the road.

I do think he takes the LSU job if they offer stupid money.
