Because CKC allows her teams to play free in games, we've seen that there's also a lag between how they practice and how they play. Old gametime instincts seem to be the last to disappear. But It's all about who we are 4 months from now.

Every fan has the right and choice to fret, doomsay, or to stay in the moment and enjoy the progress. I figure we can only get to March one game at a time anyway.

Seeing this post-game interview a year later, I'm still grateful that Insell was so honest in sharing his thoughts about Kim's system and the potential for it becoming more difficult during SEC play. He was asked directly, and he answered. Good on him.

Obviously he does not have a high opinion of the regular mass substitutions, but also admitted that it was those mass substitutions that caused matchup problems for his team and that, of course, is one of the positives of the system. If a little confusion causes opponents to give up even a basket or two, hell... that might be just enough to beat them with.

Overall that was a good and honest interview. And I don't care if MTSU is supposed to be down this year, Insell's not going to let his team lay down and die for UT in their gym. The Lady Vols better be ready to battle that proud program.

Subbing is fine, but see no benefit of two minute or less subbing. I also don't see any benefit of equal minutes. Your top five or six need to play 30 minutes and the other players fill in other minutes available.

The team may very well be in the "We Hate Kim Caldwell" stage of their development which, according to her, is an annual event. Fortunately, later in the year, after everything finally thoroughly clucks and they see the difficult work was worth it, they're supposed move into the "We Love Kim Caldwell" stage.

Here's to hoping NONE of us has to wait too awful much longer for the WLKC stage to kick in. 😂

One thing I would like to see in tonight's game would be coverage of the outlet player when the pressing trap is used in the back-court. So far this season (and, I realize it's only four games), it appears that two players press the ball handler and three run to the basket and, invariably, an opposing player is left completely unguarded at, or near, mid-court, leading to an easy outlet pass to break the press. I'm not a coach, but it seems to me that the press would be more effective if you utilized a 2-1-2 formation to have someone in position to disrupt the outlet pass.

I have wondered how her at first suspending and later kicking beloved Ruby off the team interacts with an already tough period in her relationship with this team. Most of us here can see why the decisions were made but perhaps youngsters who are in their hurt can't.

Well, I do not believe the game is going to come down to the last three or four minutes. LVs will open up a can of whip butt and pour it all over MTSU. GBO.

Really shouldn't saw some video of some games they play and looks like we should win by 20 even on their court, but I thought the same thing about Martin.

Cost us a lot of points in the NC St game and every game we've played. NC St was particularly glaring.

I'm looking at the schedule for February.
First 3 games of the month, on the road, against Connecticut, Georgia and South Carolina. The last 2 games of the month, on the road, against Oklahoma and LSU. And in the middle, a home game against Texas and some other games.
That's a murderous schedule.
