The good news with the baseball coaching changes is UT had redundancy and successors already in place—except for Q where they made a great hire. Elander made an incredible hire backfilling for his former role. Josh Reynolds was hired a couple of years ago to succeed Frank Anderson, and same for Zach Stovall who will succeed Sean McCann. I can assure you that Elander knew it was likely he’d be losing Q, Frank the Tank, and Sean the moment the Giants hired CTV. That’s why announcements on new hires and promotions have happened at virtually the same time. I’m sure CTV agreed not to make any official announcements until after NSD…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m sure Tony and Elander are in constant communication and all of these moves are coordinated.

I read both of the articles McKee dropped today and didn’t note that impression. Was it in a tweet? Got a link?

💯. Of course. None of this comes as a surprise to Elander. It would have been a bigger surprise if the big 3 assistants didn’t go to San Fran.

He posted it in the comments of his "Frank expected to leave" article as a response to one of the poster's questions.... believe it was on page 3 of the thread
