My nephew was a medical intern that worked with and set up all the drills for the qbs. he still texts with a few of the players including Milton. He told me it wasn't really close. Everything I have heard about Merk that I have heard is that he is not that good and will be gone after this season.

The staff doesn't want to use GMAC this season bc he needs to develop his frame and abilities. They want Merk to be the backup but feel that GMAC has the brighter future. I have no issues with them getting a veteran qb to be the starter but it will probably mean losing GMAC.

Saw where someone was pumping up us going after Sam Leavitt ASU--- was doing very well until injury, but now good to go with 2yrs remaining... would be a good get IMO--- just give him Boo's and Bey's money...

Miami has lost two games to unranked teams... Even though they beat Notre Dame by a FG first game of season, those two losses look worse than two losses to top 15 ranked teams...

A run game and defense can and has won. Take the '85 Bears or the Tim Tebow Gators, heck the Vols in '98, none had great qbs They won by playing defense and running the ball. There are a myriad of examples throughout history where this the case.
There are also many examples of teams that were offensive juggernauts with qbs with gaudy numbers and lost, the B12 for crying in the creek. Defense never goes in a slump and travels.
