My sister-in-law's younger sister was at the 22 Florida game, and apparently one of their fans came up to her and yelled "You got LUCKY!" as they were leaving. And that was in Neyland.

Considering my hotel is basically on campus, I find this comment slightly concerning. Three places I've never been for fear of being harassed; Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Thought I would get Florida off the list this year. Maybe I live to regret it.......

It’s really not that bad. There might be some drunk frat guys who may yell an obscenity or two, but just smile and keep walking. Nobody actually wants to fight.
I’ve a great time at the swamp and tailgates with UF people. Not even a hint of an issue, but I’ve certainly heard the stories.
UGA is worse - the in your face barking is annoying.

If you want to have a good time, then you will!

I wish we could find the thread, there was lively banter as I recall regarding such considerations. I don't remember the specifics, my recollection is the request wasn't very well thought out.

Tickets are dropping and make me sick that I have a family function I am obligated to go to. Otherwise, I would be going to the game with tickets going under $100.

Been there many times, never really had an issue at the game or finding a fun tailgate, or finding my way into a frat party. Only problem I ever really had was at a bar, and the waitress kicked the kid out for being an A$$hole. I'm sure if you go looking for trouble, you will find it though. Just ignore the drunks. Enjoy the game if you go, I can't make it this year unfortunately.

Everyone has their own tales of good and bad at the swamp, so I would take all advice into consideration. With the game being a nighttime affair, you’re more likely to encounter folks who’ve been drinking all day. If they harass you too much, just ignore and walk away. I’ve been going to the swamp for 30 years and always got taunted but just ignored fans and there was no incident. Maybe you’ll find some friendly tailgaters who welcome you to come join them. You just never know! Good luck and enjoy the game. GBO!

Been to all three venues. Never had a problem of any kind. But Florida field was the loudest out of all three.
