Statement from Carter to John Brice

Well! It is either Georgia or Colorado at this point. That is his two moves.Take it as you want it.
If he goes to either spot "gets it together" and balls out, I think that indicates he just didn't respect this staff. Pretty clear he never wanted to be here and only came for the cash. Perfect storm of crazy.

Apologies if this has already been posted somewhere else.

Any facts to support the narrative of either side of this thing?

I played at three different high schools. Now going on my 2nd college. My mom is a raging internet lunatic. But it’s you, it’s not me, right?

Mike Keith sums it up.

Voice of the Vols Mike Keith joined WNML’s Josh and Swain on Monday and he unsurprisingly offered tremendous perspective on the Boo Carter situation at Tennessee.

“Disappointment,” said Keith when asked for his reaction to Carter’s dismissal from the team. “I mean, disappointment that this has not worked, or that this has worked out the way that it did. In watching [Carter] last year from afar, I thought he was one of the most instinctive defensive players that Tennessee has had in recent years. A guy who certainly could be all-conference caliber — just based on what he does and the fact that he can play one on one defense, and he can play the run. He’s a good tackler.

“And then this hits, obviously, very publicly during the summer. Everyone knows about it. It kind of hangs over everybody all year long. He doesn’t play as well as what he did as a freshman. And yet, there are plays where he makes things happen. And so you understand his capability. It’s just really, really tough to see this happen for the young man, for his family, for his teammates, for Josh Heupel, and everybody involved. But the fact of the matter is, you’ve got to have everybody rowing the boat the same way. You just do. And it doesn’t matter how good somebody is. I mean, he got every chance. This is not a Tennessee problem. This is a him problem. I hope he gets it straight and that it works out for him, because I think he’s an immensely talented young man who has great potential. But at programs like this — and certainly beyond when you go to play on Sunday — that responsibility aspect is always going to be there for you to do what you’re expected to do. And Josh Heupel couldn’t handle it any other way. He gave the young man every chance.”
The Nico thing got into his head. It is one thing to lie about a Coach wanting him to play injured. If that be the case, Mc Coy and Gibbs would be out their on crutches.

This will go down like the Nico thing. Georgia is probably not interested in his services and because of the potential baggage. Boo has not figured out that Coaches talk.

Boo has been evidently coddle to much and allowed to run that mouth. I am sure the doctors thoroughly checked him out and gave him a go and Boo chose to protect his stock. His mouth has probably ruined his chances for player.

He will end up somewhere with less $$$$ nobody to blame but Boo, his handler and parents when this type of situation comes up.

Unless the medical staff or an independent medical staff deems a player too hurt to play, any and all coaches will want any and all players to play, even if they are banged up. That's just sports. I don't believe he was being asked to do something out of the ordinary or to his detriment if even true. Does anyone know what the injury is?
Heard on a pod cast it was a hip flexor.

Boo and his Mom’s damage control efforts are so feeble and transparent. As if anyone believes them trying to spin this as an injury.

If Boo can get into a G5 school like Memphis, that would be an impressive landing spot.

What legitimate program would actually want someone like Boo in their locker room and pay him decent money?
Well, if the scheme doesn't work for them, then you know what usually comes next. Wait for it. 😳

Well, it can't be said that Heupel didn't go above and beyond. There were clear signs via his lack of contrition of the off season incidents that we were going to end up right where we are. Hate to see kids waste talent. Don't really blame him. It's the mouth behind him that is his biggest enemy.
