If you have to hire a coach it’s best to know asap…..I guess is the thinking. Not sure what I’d do if I were them

That’s what I’ve been pondering too.
It just doesn’t make sense. If they needed to start looking they could do so behind closed doors…if it comes out that you’re coach shopping the simple answer is “why hasn’t LK signed the extension offer on his desk”

One answer could be to put huge buyouts on both sides of the contract. 30 million to fire you but you have to pay 30 million to leave

Here's what I think. Honestly. Immature or not Idgaft.

If we were looking for a Head Coach now, I wouldn't want Kiffin. Has little to nothing to do with him leaving in 2009. If that was all to it Id welcome him.

Hes grown up enough that If we did hire him as HFC, I wouldn't hate it and Id wish him the best, obviously. My biggest issue with him is the Vol fan Kiffin nut huggers that act like he's already won multiple championships.

I do not want him at the gaters. Say what you want about me and I wont argue, but I don't like the possibility at all. He might only win 2 games in 4 years but they'd both be against us. Thats enough right there but add in the nut huggers.....yeah, Ill pass.
