The Official #20 Tennessee vs. Rice Game Thread, 8:30 PM ET, SEC Network

This is the best they have looked collectively so far IMO. Gillespie is clearly an elite PG, Burg is settling in and already looks like a leader on the floor, the bigs were phenomenal, and Ament is only going to keep getting better. His 3-pt. stroke is fine, but the kid is much more of a scorer than shooter. The defense looked very good tonight against a very scrappy Rice group.

Praying that JP is okay, but this team is built to be able to deal with a lengthy injury if that is the case. No Barnes team has been this deep in quality bigs, and Carey finally showed some flashes tonight. Good, solid win.

No, I said he shot 40% in HS and AAU which is reason to believe he’s probably a pretty solid shooter overall and should keep shooting, sorry if you couldn’t comprehend that, I’ve wasted enough time on you.
This isn't hs or aau btw, totally different league

That is exactly what you said and he went 0-4 tonight, you were wrong. Keep you trap shut unless you know what you are talking about.
The fact is that he was a 40% 3PT shooter in high school. He didn’t pull that number out of nowhere, it’s a fact.

Also, if you think he shoots 34% from 3PT for the year, that would be efficient (51% eFG%), and he should keep shooting them. The fact you wouldn’t be willing to take that bet suggests he should consider continuing to shoot them as he would be an efficient even if not elite shooter.

Who are you and who invited you to a conservation, there was never a bet and if their had of been a bet it would have had to have been at 40% because that's what he(and you) seem to believe he will shoot. I say he isn't that good of shooter and should pull back on the number he shoots until he proves he can hit the open ones. Now, if you really believe what you are saying you take 40% for the year and I Will take the under for a $1000. What say ye?

I think JP will be alright. Him sitting on the bench with ice on the knee is a positive development. Could be a hypertension, could be a bone bruise. Hopefully it's nothing serious at least.
I could imagine it may have felt like a bottle of tequila dropping on your foot. My guess is the players elbow landed right on his knee that probably bruised it. Maybe out for a week

I sort of get what you are saying. It's sort of night by night. IOW, if he is 0-4, he shouldn't shoot another one. What if those shots were rattling in and out? That's a tough one. What if he has the green light from Barnes? Another tough one. After all, Barnes and Co. see him every day in practice

Why does it have to be a bottle of tequila? This sounds like something you’ve experienced. 😂

He’s Lankykong. It says so right above his post.

Burg was fantastic last night. If we get this version of him just 4 games into this brand of basketball for him, then what he could be down the road is very exciting. Not sure how many of you heard him on radio afterwards, but he sounds extremely intelligent with a very acute awareness of what he needs, and wants, to do to help this team and improve himself.
