Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

All this talk about " AI gonna take our jobs and kill us all"...

We put men on the moon 60 freaking YEARS AGO...

BUT you can type:

Gippopotamus... OR

Gsterectomy

Gelicopter pilot

And these freaking keyboards CANNOT figure it out??

Get 43 letters correct and the 1st letter wrong...and computers/phones are truly incapable of figuring out what you were intending. Don't hold your breath folks.

Also apparently I had a heart attack before 50yo at 5ft10in and 175lbs. So yay...Drove myself to the ER yesterday with chest pain and I had one. Am back home now and fine but I have follow ups with the cardiologist etc and now I am on BP medicine and aspirin regimen dangit. I am thankful to the Lord to still be alive and this kinda sucks though to be honest. I have a thing with my daughter tonight though and I am not telling her. She is 17yo and the closest human to perfect I have ever known and deserves to never, ever have to worry about me.

I would appreciate a little prayer though if yall can spare a minute or 2. I want to meet my grandkids and I am still dealing with some mild chest pain from time to time and it scares me a little to be honest.
Prayers sent Marcus!

I'm open to suggestions. What's a good bourbon for the money? It's not the best but for the money I can't beat Evan Williams

I’m not really a bourbon man per say, I’m much more of a single malt scotch man, but for the money the best bourbons I’ve tried that won’t break the bank are Green River and Makers Mark.

@JOEY’S ALL VOL !!! what range finder do you use? I’m about to pull the trigger on a Bushell Tour Hybrid. I’ve still got last years PGA store gift cards and they’re enough to buy it. Between the Tour Hybrid and Pro X3+ the hybrids has GPS and gives you pin plus F/C/B slope corrected distances.

I used the Bushnell Tour V6 for a few seasons and still keep it for a back up, I now use the RedTiger 1200 and I love it, it’s dead on and has every feature you would ever need.

Ok thanks I’ll check that one out too. But I gotta admit I’m kinda fixated at the Tour Hybrid addition of GPS it gets rave reviews on a rangefinder finally blending in GPS nicely.

Dang I still have a Leupold GX3 and paid a few hundred for it years ago. Just looked up the one you mentioned and it’s $85 on amazon and looks pretty nice.

I can't quote all you guys...but a sincere THANK YOU to each and every one of you for your prayers and well wishes. I made it back home OK and really think its because of your prayers and Gods grace that I made it through today. You folks are pretty much the only ones who knew...so I attribute this directly to your intercessory prayers and well wishes. Thanks guys, I don't know how to say it without getting upset and I can't do that right now but I appreciate yall man. I really do csre about you guys even though I havent met most of you in person yet. God bless you.

Hang in there brother!

Praying for you man.

And today I just went through a treadmill stress test due to intermittent chest pain I’ve been having for a few weeks now. Would have done it a month ago but had to make the long trip to Knoxville last month for Mom’s 97th birthday.
Good grief that poor kid cant stay healthy for even a quarter of a season. Feel so bad for him. He has been a MONSTER so far this early season too...like had 20pts and 10boards last game and played good to dang good defense as well. Balled out. You can watch the youtube hilight videos that condense the ballgame down to 20ish minutes and miss nothing that matters. Like see every bucket, steal and board type video in 20mins. JP has looked like the Hi 4* almost dominant player we beat out Duke etc for when we recruited him. I see why Barnes never gave up on the kid too...which Barnes isnt the guy to do that anyway...but JP is talented enough to be a rotation player in the NBA if he could just stay healthy IMO
From interviews and stuff he seems like a very nice and humble kid too. Seems like his parents did a fine job raisin that boy.

@RavinDave

I messed my quote up brother and responded to the wrong post with the wrong quote. Dont know how...but I really hope you feel better bud and will pray for you and yours tonight before I sleep. I personally believe its a real crappy thing to do to say that you are gonna pray for someone and then not do so....unless you just forget someone when praying which I do from time to time because I am an idiot sometimes.

Thank you for your kind words. I actually had my heart attack this summer... but I halfway thought that I was just so terribly dehydrated out there that "the pump ran dry and sputtered for 5-10 seconds" due to the dehydration and that I was OK...so I never went to the doctor until when i had the chest pains etc this time. I really hate going to doctors man. Had some bad experiences please dont be a knucklehead like me and get your ticker checked out bud.

I only saw him play for the first time this season. Can see why a lot of fans are high on him.
