Did you hear the all in fun roasting CRB gave Chris after his maiden voyage? It was hilarious. Joked about him not playing enough defense to get on the floor for him. CL gave it back to him after the initial shock wore off.

As a side note I maintain a Lofton signed baseball cap an organization in Maysville had for my Dad at a homecoming event up there he spoke at. Family moved from there to Bearden area 6 months before I was born in sight of campus at the old Baptist Hospitsl. Still miss it in the cross river shots between the bridges from Neyland.

I listened to a bit of the first half. It was like I was on there. Mike Keith had to coax him to talk, and even then he acted like he was surprised by the easy questions, and had to think it through.

I hope he catches on soon. However, it just doesn't seem like his strong suit.

Agree with y'all about Chris on the broadcasts, but he's such a good guy & great VFL I'm fine with them giving him the opportunity to improve on the job. Barnes certainly seems to enjoy poking him on the post-game show (his comments are hilarious & Chris laughs pretty good!). I actually wonder if Barnes started it just to help Chris come out of his shell a bit.

While this will never happen, when Barnes retires, he could be our radio analyst. Can you imagine how fantastic he would be? Heck I would pay a subscription price to listen to Barnes call games. His storytelling and blunt remarks would be hilarious.

Bert Bertlekamp was so good at it, we've got to temper our expectations a little bit. Hopeful that Lofton grows into it over time.
