So he's saying he should not have been available but he was put on the field anyway?
Reporter asked a question to determine if Boo is lying in his statement about his season being over because he's been hurt. Coach said based on what the trainers told him each week, Boo hasn't been injured and that UT's participation report was correct.
I’ve said ever since the VT job opened and Franklin was fired that that would be the best marriage/outcome for both parties. It’s a mid-tier P5 program where 8-9 wins is the expectation, that’s pretty much Franklin’s ceiling. If I'm an Athletic Director and I have to lock up a talented coach long-term, so promise him a ridiculous buyout, I would write that contract up the way the PSU AD wrote Franklin's. VT is paying him 9/yr which completely erases the 8 million he was due until the end of his PSU contract. So they got out with basically paying him this year's salary to go coach somewhere else.
Now it remains to be seen if they will upgrade with their hire. I think it's safe to say VT did.
Not a huge Franklin fan but kudos to him for actually getting a job and working for his salary. Unlike Butch Jones going to work as Sabans stooge so he could milk every last dime out of us. Shows his total lack of character. What a joke he is.If I'm an Athletic Director and I have to lock up a talented coach long-term, so promise him a ridiculous buyout, I would write that contract up the way the PSU AD wrote Franklin's.
