Sure looks like the staff hitched their wagon to the wrong horse on this one....kinda like Nico. Another mis-eval. Wish we'd never signed Carter and had applied that money to far more urgent needs. Yeah, I know...hindsight, but both those players had red flags families. Carter even had some HS issues. Signs were there.

The story is that he only asked Tennessee to match Miami’s offer because he wanted to stay here. Apparently we didn’t value him that highly (whatever that number is) but probably should have reconsidered.

Would be curious to know the delta between our number and Miami’s.

Had to be large if he supposedly “wanted” to stay.

What if it was double what he had agreed to here? Would you say his production from last season warranted a doubling of his “salary”?

And I’m not hating on JT. He was one of my fav players to watch! But he clearly didn’t want to stay that bad or he simply would have.

He's had 3 really good games but also some games were really bad. But yes we would have been better off with him.

We get it, you are a SEC water carrier and that's fine.... In your eyes no teams are any good outside of SEC... Cool but some of us watch more Conferences play than the SEC... TBH if Tennessee isn't playing I shun the damn Conference F the rest of the teams in SEC...


Edit: since NIL era began the National Champions have been 2 from SEC and 2 from Big Ten... Looks pretty even in that aspect... The days of your hero Saban buying National Championship is over...

I could give a crap about the rest of the SEC, in fact I wish they all would lose every game. Fact is the SEC is by far the toughest conference and we are in it, just facts.

Coach gave him more chances than he should have and he pissed them all away. I am not sure who is calling the shots for him, but I believe his mother and agent are the ones who got this episode started. Which those people giving hjim advice, his future does not look as bright as it should be. It is clear, he decided to be a non participant this year. hate to see that kind of talent be so compromised.

Never said it wasn't a tough conference, I am saying there are really good teams from other Conferences that you and others disrespect for no reason...

I respect every team that plays, the disrespect shown by many on here for other teams is why the meltdowns happen every week... I don't have to like them to respect their accomplishments...

If you think I worship Saban that you are clueless, the man is the actual Devil do some research. I can objectively view the fact without the politics of the talking heads.

I don’t know about value. I do know that we needed him based on what we put out there this year. If he erased one big play vs UGA we win that game most likely.

I get it. Think the secondary was built around Boo, McCoy, and Gibson.

Unfortunately it never worked out. Some bad injury luck and some immaturity.
