Yeah with the way some of the games of the teams ahead of us played out, kind of thought we would end up around 17 or 18.

Win in Gainesville and should move up one or two more.

Beat Vandy, who may be top ten by then, and we likely end up the top ranked 3 loss team somewhere around 12 to 14 at best.

I'd say Michigan as well.
Michigan is still there because folks are hoping for a 4th B1G team instead of 5 SEC teams in the playoffs. If they were to beat OSU in that last game - they will jump into the top 10 - bank it. They are also keeping some of the ACC and Big 12 teams close to bump them up - even if they shouldn't.

It's similar with teams like Houston, James Madison, North Texas and Tulane being ranked. I think the James Madison and Tulane thing is because it looks completely embarrassing having a G6 get a playoff spot when none of them are even ranked. James Madison has played one P4 team this season, a 14 point loos to now unranked Louisville. Tulane's only wins over mediocre teams were against Northwestern and Duke. They were destroyed by Ole Miss and lost by 22 to a bad UTSA team. North Texas at least has a win over Navy and destroyed a bad Washington St. team. They also got destroyed by South Florida and barely squeaked by Western Michigan.

I'm afraid that if they beat OSU, Columbus will go up in a mushroom cloud.
