If UT flops in Gainesville and loses to this current Gator team, there’s only one solution.

Do doubt Florida will score on this pitifull defense. Our offense has been on/0ff and unfortunately Joey seems to be reverting to old habits? Turn overs will be the tell tale . If Joey continues to throw interceptions Tennessee is done we will see!

Watched the entire UF/Ole Miss game.

Gator defense hounded the Ole Miss QB all game. Lotta UF passing shots and until the last 2 minutes, they had Ole Miss staring at a loss.

Unless something changes, I don't see us winning in the Swamp. Heups road games are absolutely awful. We forget to play basic football when we play UF. They could trot out the cheerleaders and we'd find a way to lose. I'd love to be wrong though.

Joey A. needs a signature win. This is likely going to be his final opportunity of 2025. Vanderbilt is the game we can’t afford to lose. Florida is the game we desperately want to win.

They both have definitely been turnover prone. Think Lagway has 14 total( Int's and Fumbles) and Aguilar has 12 total. Think it will come down to which QB plays better and doesn't give it to the other team. It does make me nervous that JA has 5 turnovers our last 2 games and Lagway has 4.
I am certainly not at all overconfident for this weekend. Some of that does stem from JA getting a little looser with the ball recently. It's worth noting that, over the same two game stretch, JA has 5 total TDs to Lagway's 3 total TDs. Another interesting stat I have seen is that Florida has been outscored 75-27 in the fourth quarter this season.

I want to believe Vols win because they are the better team but in this series that may be bad thing. Will not be surprised at all if UF wins.

Yes, they did get after the QB. I also watched the game. Ole Miss contributed nearly as much as Florida did toward that game being in doubt late. Florida went 3 and out their first two possessions of the game and were down 10-0. They got a TD drive that was fueled by a long reception on what appeared to be a busted coverage by Ole Miss. Then, Ole Miss compounded the problem by immediately throwing a pick that gave Florida the ball on the OM 5 yard line, which allowed Florida to take the lead. That is when it became a game. Even after that, Ole Miss turned the ball over on downs twice inside Florida's 5 yard line. For the game, they outgained Florida by over 200 yards and were gashing the Gator defense both on the ground and through the air. It reminded me a bit off our game against Oklahoma in the sense of missed opportunities and critical mistakes. I think we need to come out on fire early and not make the critical mistakes to give them life. If we capitalize on our opportunities and make them earn what they get, it will be a good day for us IMO.

Yes, yes I am. I think we will win the game. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it, though.
It is a head game thing. I checked out the gator blog and all they talk about it how Tennessee can’t run the ball and our defense stinks. They literally think they are going to win even though on paper they suck! They have only won 3 games this year . So we need to stop all the self doubts and think positive! The swamp is just another stadium and this time of year it isn’t even that hot I’ve eaten gator meat numerous times and I like it Tennessee is due to win in Gainesville so why not Saturday! I’m going with a win and eating some gator meat this weekend! Go Vols!

I‘m worried that the D can’t get them off the field - they control the ball and limit our possessions…basically a repeat of the last time we played there and they held the ball almost 38 minutes

Florida Tee's off on our receivers every play. They want to hurt them. Our receivers start getting alligator arms when the ball comes their way. Passing game becomes ineffective. Our running game is hit or miss. Some big plays. Some tfl's. We don't score more than 24. The only question is "can our D show up at all?" Can we hold them to under 24?

I voted could go either way. We should be better than the Florida this year and I think Tennessee should win. However, I’ve been watching the Vols for to many years to not have worries about playing the Gators, especially in that accursed stadium.

Never will forget that’02 game. We were supposed to whip them and bad yet we fumbled two or three times inside the five in the rain and got beat.

The Fulmer show the next day played the ‘01 highlights in the background.

I'm afraid if we don't beat Florida (possible) and we lose to Vandy at home (also possible), the Heup trail will be off the rails with him getting some pressure to make some changes or be on the hot seat (right or wrong) in 2026

It's interesting that they feel that way. Even with Jaden Baugh and DJ Lagway, they haven't rushed for more than 115 yards in any of their last three games and average 122 yards per game for the season. They think we can't run the ball, even though we average 54 yards per game more than they do? Does our defense stink? Mostly yes, although we do seems to excel in opportunistic plays and defensive scores. Is their defense much better? We are 14th in the SEC in total yards allowed. Where is Florida? 13th. Our rush defense is 9th in the SEC, theirs is 13th. The only real advantages they have are in passing defense and scoring defense. We are 16th in pass defense, they are 11th. We are 15th in scoring defense, they are 12th. If you ask me, neither defense is good and theirs is going to face a much better offense than our defense will. How much better? We are 1st in total yards, they are 15th. We are 1st in passing yards, they are 12th. We are 7th in rushing yards, they are 13th. We are 1st in scoring offense, they are 15th.
