Night game in BHG. Florida has clearly not "mailed it in". UT hasn't won there since 2003...

After what I saw last night against NMSU, I have serious doubts about UT winning in Gainesville...and in Neyland to close out the season. Maybe that's just me.

BHG at night, against UT, is going to be louder than two cats fighting in an empty dumpster. UT might struggle with false starts. Those are drive-killers. Looking at this game from afar, given all of the issues we've seen on both sides of the ball...I just don't feel good about UT going in there, putting it all together for once, and coming away with a win. UT is going to need some help from Florida to win this one.

And then Vandy. In Neyland. You've gotta expect Vandy to come in at 9-2 and with an outside shot at the CFP. In other words, highly motivated. And depending on what UT does, or doesn't do, in Gainesville, this game could be between two teams with opposite trajectories. And then, of course...Pavia.

Next two weeks are going to be tough. Possibly the two toughest games they'll play this year. Maybe the Vols will (finally) rise to the challenge.
If only we had seen Pavia ever play against UT before to know how good he is.....

The only thing I agree with on your post is that we need to watch out for the drive killing false starts especially if we have to shift around the OL due to injuries.

Yeah history runs out on that field and plays the Game. Who gives a S$#t about history? Means absolutely nothing
Maybe, but we’ve not won down there since 2003 and have only won there five times total. So, somebody very different than a just a decent Tennessee team better run out on that field Saturday night.

Don't feel great about it. Florida can exploit this defense.. Joey has been turning the ball over too much lately. Then there is the unimaginative run game that has a total of 3 plays.

Depends on who decides to show up. Will it be the Florida team that got their ass whipped by Kentucky? Or the Florida that took Georgia to the wire?

Same for us: will it be the Tennessee that moved the ball at will and dropped 41 on Georgia? Or the Tennessee that shot themselves continuously in the foot and wet the bed against the elephants?

I have no idea.

Depends on which Gator team shows up. The one that showed up against KY certainly looked disinterested and played badly. The one last night played much better so we’ll have to see. I also think Ole Miss is overrated and is not as good as folks think.

With the mentality if the fanbase about this game, why don't we just forfeiture and say that we will never win in the Swamp again and admit we have a trash can football program that can't win there.

How’s everyone feeling about the swamp game next week? Please don’t let us make
Em look like Super Bowl champs!!!
I thought Gators looked like a top 10 team playing a Top 10 team at Ole Miss and I'm assuming they like most teams will play better at home. So we will need to bring our best and cut out the mistakes turnovers and penalties.

So if he wins then you will totally be singing his praises right?

I would. If he wins Saturday, Heupel should get a pay raise. If he loses, it is another Butch Jones level season and we should start think of putting him on the hot seat.

Good coaches shouldn't lose to 3-7 teams. It is the way it works. 0-3 against Bama, Florida, and Georgia is a bad season, no matter how you spin it.

It will be tough…we’re 3-3 in conference and they’re 2-4. Their signature win was against Texas, ours is either Miss State or Kentucky…Their conference losses include Texas A&M, Georgia and ole Miss and then that inexcusable loss to Kentucky…

if we play mistake free ball we can win this game…

Lagway plays at heistman levels next week, producing numbers never seen before and can't be stopped. It always happens to us.

UF will come out on fire and I predict they will lead at the half. See what the Vols are made of after that. Ole MIss showed their poise and took care of business in 2nd half, can Vols do the same. I am 50-50 on this game right now.
