Who cares what that sexual assaulter says?

He's a moron who is paid to try and be the "Pat McAfee" of a show no one watches because the big ten is boring

Heupel had plenty of chances to change the narrative this year. Wins over Arkansas, Mississippi State in overtime and Kentucky in Lexington are dwarfed by boneheaded plays in the Georgia game, rank incompetence in Tuscaloosa digging a hole that couldn't be overcome and the absence of a substantive defense in the Oklahoma game (plus another boneheaded call at 4th and less than 1).

What Heupel and this staff can do will be fully on display the last two weeks of the season, Tennessee is not a playoff team this year, despite the fact that they are quite talented at many skill positions, this coaching staff and the schemes they throw out there are generally not effective against the better coached teams in the conference.

Currently, Heupel's downward trajectory mirrors the three year decline he engineered at Central Florida, where his first year was his best year, hope he can change that here, but 2022 is a distant memory and any return to the competitive level with the top teams in the conference will require a significant upgrade with coordinators and many position coaches.

This is the SEC.

Yup, let’s get Jeremy Pruitt on the phone, STAT

I don’t think we should be unranked but on the wins I’m afraid he has a bit of a point. Where is Tennessee’s quality win? They definitely have 3 quality losses.
The “quality wins” point is a bit deceptive. Because there are only so many losses in the Top 25 teams to be spread around. The top 10 only have 10 losses combined. Seven of those losses came to other Top 10 teams. One was to a team outside the Top 25 (ASU>TTU).

At quick glance, I only found 4 wins in teams 12-25 that are against current Top 25 teams. We are not alone. And ironically for Portnoy, Michigan isn’t one of those teams.

Unfortunately, I think we are gonna come full circle with a 7-5 record in year 5. This team is soft, undisciplined, and has bad luck on top of it all.

Yep. Frankly had never heard of him and now I know why. While ABC/ESPN was down last weekend, I tried to watch some of the Fox show. Portnoy and his crew were pitiful. Unwatchable.

Pat McAfee - - - I try not to ever click on a show that he is a part of. If I do, as quickly as I can i go somewhere else. In the past I have watch the ESPN Saturday morning show, now that he is part of it, I just do things like wander around in the yard.

I agree with the OP but you probably could've just stopped with the thread title. No explanation needed for anyone who has seen any of his takes. A few weeks ago, he was claiming that Ohio State, Oregon, Indiana, Michigan, Penn State, Illinois, USC, and Iowa could all win the SEC. When Brandon Walker called him out on it, and specifically Michigan having been completely uncompetitive against Oklahoma, he started making excuses about how that was Underwood's first ever start and they are much better now.

Right with you on that Pat idiot. As soon as I hear his voice I find something else to do or watch.

Happy to say that the next time I watch or listen to Portnoy or McAfee will be the first. Or Stephen Smith for that matter. I'll never get why anyone give a rat's ass what any of these click bait clowns thinks or says.
Thanks for adding this guy to the list, I NEVER watch anything he is involved with.

Sad part is that he is getting clicks with this crap and pumping up the The Little B1G teams to the point of drinking the kool-aide. IOWs there are three teams that would do well from the B1G in this league but not win it. OSU, Oregon and the current flavor Indiana. "The Grind" is a killer of talkers and nobody really survives it without a loss.
If they do it without a loss then look at their Schedule.

You do realize we made the playoffs last year? I would say that negates the mirroring at least.
