Heup to LSU noise and where does TN job rank?

They’ve played for 4 national titles since 2003 and won three of them, plus they don’t put up with 8-4 seasons. I’d say their standards are higher.

Plus, let's just be honest, Louisiana is loaded with in-state talent and LSU pretty much has a lock on all of it. Plus they steal kids from Texas as well. With the Nashville area getting larger by the day Tennessee's in-state talent will continue to climb, but we just aren't there with the likes of Georgia, Florida, Texas or Louisiana.

Agreed. I said their standards are higher but “higher expectations” is probably a better way to put it.

Either way you're correct. Sometimes we have to take off the orange colored glasses and admit that there are programs that just have an easier path to a national championship than Tennessee. LSU is one of those programs.

LSU fired its coach after firing a coach with a NC. Then made up a bunch of crap to fire for cause. Then Gov fired the AD.

Toxic. Unrealistic expectations. Heup aint dumb.

For sure. They still have an easier path to a natty due to the lock on their recruiting pipelines.
We have the #9 class

They have 12th.

We have the #1 offense, DW, #1 QB, #1 WR, and potentially #1 RB in '27 class. We have RG, Chop, Inge; and every other year Martinez.

We are in a good spot, with upward trajectory.

Yeah, don’t think they’re all married up yet, but she’s apparently in Oxford with him now. Guess he ditched his young girlfriend.
Not trying to carry water for the man, but he's been very vocal about coming back to the LORD and his family (tho seems like he's been a committed Dad). Using words like redemption and restoration ... I know it is a crazy thought but what IF part of his redemption journey is righting more wrongs he committed ... also, his son KNOX has said over and over he does not want to play college ball for his dad ... and his top pics are LSU and FL ... maybe Lane stays right where he is until another SEC job opens up. And yes, I'd be glad to have him back.

And Heupel doesn't even try to recruit in Nashville, which arguably has the best talent in the state.
