'25 Recruiting Forum: Official Tennessee versus New Mexico State Pre-game/Game Thread

We're just a young team, the line is a concern, the one thing I don't get is how we flipped from not able to pass block well but run block well last year, to the exact opposite this year. Part of me thinks it's scheme but I can't completely say with certainty.
Maybe it’s as simple as that. We are young. Those lines that were dominant, then the backups would come in and be dominant….. those starters and backups were largely 4th and 5th year guys. Even last year was senior heavy. This year we have one 5th year guy, right? Is Moe 4th or 5th year?

Not sure on Moe

And we haven't recruited/developed o linemen very well until recently. And our system is tough on o linemen

We are young but I also think we had some investments not work out, some because of injured (McCoy and Gibson) that really just sucks and some that were cancers (Boo and to a lesser extent Nico). I still say Nico because as good as Aguilar has been given the situation, he has his limitations.

I also say our RB’s have been good but they are not game changers. We are simply a flawed team that had some bad breaks and some players we were counting on that didn’t work out. I think we have a chance to be a much better team next year but I’m super concerned about QB. Our QB#2 comes in and our offense looks putrid.

I'm genuinely not sure why the concept is hard to understand but I'll explain again.

The level he's playing at now is not the level he would have been Game 1. The growth of young players in their 1st year is huge.

Considering our linebacker play this season, couldn’t have been worse lol

Told y’all that guy was a cancer and shou have been cut out this summer.
What a cluster ****.
Heupel was too soft and it cost the entire team chemistry.
The team looked like they actually liked each other today

How you know he didn’t consult with some team leaders in the locker room on the Boo situation?

Bull talks a lot about Heupel and this staff. He says they are too nice and too much of players coaches. He said this team needs more hard coaching and our coaches need to hold these players more accountable. I agree. Boo should have never been allowed back and we need more tough love.

everything ok at home?
Every accusation a confession?

Seriously dude, not sure what your problem is. I must've touched a nerve last night, but I assure you it was unintentional.

I don't have an issue with you, and this doesn't have to continue.
