No dude, our fan base expects and deserves a winner. WTF should UT fans expect any less than Gump or Dog Humpers? Are our tickets any less? Is our fan base too poor to keep up in NIL?

Our sanctions are (now) 2 scholarships a year, I think that’s been the case for the past 2 recruiting seasons so come on. 2 scholarships doesn’t make an excuse

Eh ... I don’t think having the 2nd biggest recruiting budget and expecting a little more makes our base absurd really, just maybe a tad bit over in our expectations. I’m old enough to remember the glory years and know it can be done here (winning championships). Probably harder now with legalized cheating leveling the playing field a little bit, but still doable with the right coach and staff.

Dude! We’re Tennessee fans so we’re expected to pay for just above mediocre And if you complain about it and want championships you’re a Negavol with unrealistic expectations.

One does get that vibe a lot here. While I’d love a championship of some sort at some point, I’d settle for not continually losing games that we should win season after season. I’m just tired of seeing us finding ways to lose very winnable games with a lot on the line. I’d like to see what we could do if we can ever a great Defense and great Offense all at the same time.

My daughter has her undergraduate and masters from UT and other than a passing fandom doesn’t GAS about any Vol team. None of her friends that she graduated with are any different. It was dumb luck or working for it to get a student ticket when she was there and that was Dulley years.

All of that to say I think most P4 and especially SEC schools are alienating what will be their alumni. All SEC schools need to be increasing their student sections and giving more student tickets away. Otherwise the booster base is going to dry up, “why would I donate to something I couldn’t go to when I was a student?”

This has been the case for about 3 decades now. If you pay a student activity fee then you should have access to a ticket if you desire one, this goes for any university.

We should expect playoff appearances 3/4 years. And if the coach is making the clip 2/4 I'm not firing. If your in the playof it's a crap shoot. No one had OSU and ND battling for the title last year. It's a war of attrition

Exactly. The defense has been dogs*** every game against a sec team. After the game today there’s no reason to think they’ll be any different the last 2 games.

Thing is you can afford a couple losses nowadays and still get to the championship. That didn’t use to be the case. That doesn’t mean you can just squander multiple games like we’ve done this season. Some people keep saying “we were expected to lose 3-4 games” like that’s some valid excuse for losing games you should’ve won.

Good to hear. I’m gonna get out and try to play some golf tomorrow. Probably move up to the old man tees. Feet and legs are still a bit shaky but I think I can get around. Been hitting some foam balls around the house. We’ll see 🤞🏻

This is a GREAT point.

To add:

CJH teams have led the SEC in rushing past 2 years running...our offenses (which is Lanes strength by FAR) have outscored theres nearly every year . CJH objectively has a better FBS resume AND winning %.

This. If he throws picks like the last 2 games we lose ...regardless of yards. He threw for 392 vs OK and we LOST. He has gotten panicky from backside pressure on 3 out of his last 4 picks. Guy was making or about to make contact from behind (left side...Heard at Tackle) both picks this week and 1 last week. Dont know if he got popped bad in practice...not likely...or against OK...something has put fear in him and he throws the ball downfield the last 2 games when he feels pressure behind him. AP said it on postgame and he is right. Backside pressure...throws it early over the middle to catastrophic results. 2 games is a pattern. He gets over it or we are screwed. Flarda will blitz from his back every damn play until he makes them pay for it. I would. Joey was amazing til the OK game. Hope he gets it worked out in practice this week.
