What happened to Boo?

Being from Chattanooga I have read/heard/seen stories and rumors about Boo since his freshman year at CCS. The actions and behavior he is exhibiting now are not new. Throughout his 3 years at CCS, 6 months-ish at Brainerd, and 1 year at Bradley, Boo has made poor choices, played the victim, and never had any accountability. CJH is holding him accountable for his actions and Boo is pouting and playing the victim -good for CJH. I posted the day he committed at the Downtown Athletic Club, he would be a cancer to the team and transfer out in two years. I know he has entered the portal but I think we all agree he is probably gone. I hoped I was wrong about him when I made those comments but; unfortunately, there was too much history with his behavior to lead me to believe he would change.

Anyone and I mean anyone around this kid for 20 minutes should've known he would be a headache/distraction without even speaking to him. It only takes a 5 minute conversation to confirm it even more. Please cut him and let him move on to another program and hopefully away from home and a better chance to mature. Best for everyone

My 2 cents on what happened to boo. He quit. He sabotaged his own career to stick it to UT. Idk what the hell happened, but it doesn't seem like it was handled well.

When he called for the fair catch with no one remotely close to him it became obvious to the staff that he’d quit on them. I doubt he plays another down

I think so. What you're seeing is a lack of effort. Particularly on special teams he could've been a Devin Hester style return man if he had decided not to pout this year.

Josh Heupel explains Boo Carter's absence for Tennessee football vs New Mexico State

Boo Carter was not available for Tennessee football against New Mexico State and he was not at Neyland Stadium with the Vols.

I think he’s just throwing a fit about not being used in the offense.

At the time he started missing summer workouts, Heupel had already promised him a chance at playing offense this season and I think had some offensive reps during spring.
So that wouldn't have been a reason to act like a selfish jerk. Maybe he is just a selfish jerk with or without the offensive snaps.

It’s a sad situation at the end of the day. People asking and saying if he had talent. I think when he was locked in and gave his all last year, he looked very dangerous and played with the swagger I’d like to have on my team.

After all is said and done, it’s just like my father taught me, “you just can’t fix stupid” Boo and his handlers should have seen with the Nico fiasco that Heupel and this team could do without you, no matter who or what your “legacy” was projected to be.

Another waste of a talented young player that will probably never see his full potential. Sad Face

Boo happened to Boo. The red flags that were there, but a guy with his raw athletic ability you take a flyer. He wouldn't commit himself, it didn't work. If I'm coach he's off from away.......dismissed from the team.

He needs to move on. No hard feelings, it didn't work here. He's going to be someone else's problem, or maybe he gets it together with a new start. Whatever, doesn't matter, he was never one of us. Move on with guys that work with each other and want to better the program.
