Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

My "root for" list for today:

The good guys, obviously, with depth getting a lot of playing time
Wisconsin over Indiana
Northwestern over Michigan
Pittsburgh to find a way over Notre Damn
Boston College over Georgia Tech
UCF over Texas Tech
Duke over Virginia
NC State over Miami
USC over Iowa
Alabama over Oklahoma
Ole Miss over Florida and it to be an ugly game where Florida players continue to demonstrate quitting
Baylor over Utah
Georgia over Texas and I feel dirty even suggesting that
UCLA over Ohio State (Nico isn't playing so they might have a chance)
TCU over BYU

Edit: Actually, I can't do it. Give me Texas over Kirby with Texas losing a different game down the line. I just can't root for uga.

It will be HILARIOUS when Tennessee Tech beats that tough SEC team Kentucky today.

There is no way a FCS school should ever beat a FBS school in any sport, it has happened but for the school that lost it should be embarrassing.. FCS school are allowed only 63 Scholarship athletes on football team...while FBS has many more. Stacked deck imo..

Another myth. There isn’t a such thing as a nega vol. it’s just something the ones who refuse to acknowledge that everything isn’t always Rosie calls the ones that see the good AND the bad.
There absolutely are Negas just like there are eternal Optimist. A lot of the Negas just claim they are realist even though every point they make is on the negative side.

You see this in business analysis all the time and sports fans are no different.

I love your enthusiasm but it's hard to believe we make playoffs. If we do it's going to take a huge miracle ...
I don't think making the playoffs this year matters long-term. As long as the team wins out they've exceeded expectations, re-established program momentum and given themselves a chance to have 10 wins and a top 10 finish. Given where this team was in April, that's all anyone could reasonably ask of them.
